Dungeon Finder Needed Badly

hmmm a new thought occurs to me here. i am not a power leveler, i have no issues getting groups for these places on my servers both empire and republic. but i also don't have the best gear so i bet if this LFD tool were implemented and I used it i'd be kicked from the group because i don't have the best gear for my level and class because of my own preferences. i think that's a pretty good argument for NOT having the LFD tool because it will allow people to be elitists even more so.

notice i did not say LFG tool... well because i seperate the two. and to be honest i think the LFD has allowed the community of those games to be silent and not talk to their peers in game because they are already going to get a group and they just do what ever... who cares about talking when it is not needed as the game will group you up!

It's funny cos it's true. And if you didn't laugh, you'd cry! I'm still trying to get a Battle of ilum FP group for the quest you get as a Smuggler at the end of Act 3. I've been 50 for a monthish. Will the pain ever end?!

hmmm wait a minute.. LFD: I don't want to take the time to talk to others and still get groups... same mentality... what do ya know.... i have to change that i guess now... heh sorry i just personally don't see the use for a LFD tool at all because i can get groups easily by talking. even last night we had a great discussion on tatooine that the dune sea must be seen from balloon to be truely experienced.

The issue with the elitist´s etc. can be fixed by adding a proper filter.

So lets say you are a casual just like I am, wouldnt it be great if we could select this at the sign up?
In that way we would only play with casuals who dont take the game that serious, who dont want to rush and dont demand the perfect spec or gear.

The LFD of wow suxx, thats also my opinion - but if tweaked well, it could be a strong tool, and the filter is just 1 issue that should be adressed, there are several more like no tool on RP servers, a long cooldown or a player rating system etc.


Where the worlds collide in this thread is the fact, that many people just see black and white. There are those that demand the wow tool, while they just ignore the fact´s which have proven that the tool in that state is really a serious threat to the gameplay experience of many people. You said it right, new people dont have any "right" to be new.

While the anti team does atleast from my point of view argue a bit better and with less insults, they are just as stubborn as the pro group


Looking at myself then it is no secret that I dont want the wow tool here, because my game experience did suffer because of the tool.
Just as you said, many groups have rude people in, people that just play different then we both as casuals do and this leads to all the "kicking", "insulting" etc. Because of this, we should not just give our veto - but also explain why and under which circumstances that veto could be dropped.

It must be very hard for BW to even follow this thread here, way too much rage.

On a side note there is guild drama in my own guild already, couple members got tired logging on cause all they do is gear up guildies who don't show up and aren't reliable. Since we can't get a team going they've just quit

Also, why on earth did they make it so the AC's that have a tank can't have a tank in each AC? If a guild needs say tanks and we only have healers, we can't switch spec to become tanks. Leveling up a new class won't help the immediate hole the guild has, GG bioware

Im really hardly missing it (the pve queue aka Dungeon Finder).

i've not done a single FlashPoint expect BlackTalon until now.

And im 50 since December.


Reason: No PvE Queue.


So i feel locked to Dailys and PvP and i feel more bored every day


In other MMO's it was simulare until they added the PvE Queues (aka Dungeon Finder).

Since the Dungeon finders i somedays did 10 Heroics a Day or even More (mainly at the Weekend) previously i did 0 to 1 per Week because crying for LFG did bored me after hours of crying with no result.

To be honest i don't get they'r argument: Cross Server Dungen-Finders would do more damage to the Community. I've Played hounderts of Cross Server Dungeons and had almost none issues with leavers or simulare, so i just don't believe that a Cross-Server Dungeon Finder would cause such Problems.

For sure HC Dungeons should'nt be too hard, that also a random group can do itwithout too mutch problems.

16 Man raids can be hard :d

The Only Problem i could remember was, that sometimes People was in the HC Queue that seems just to has get Max Level, with Green Stuff, 10 Levels below max Level. But this has nothing to do with Cross Server. There should just be a basic Equip Check for HC is the Conclusion.

PS:
4 Man Groups was quiet a bad idea btw. Becaus so only 2 Players (50%) of the Group can be DamageDealers, but usualy there are many more DD's than Tanks and Healers together so ---> makes it even worse.

PSS:
A other missing feature is the Dual Spec, if it would be Possible to Dual Spec Assassin could also Tank or Mercenarys Could Heal.

PSSS:
in conjuction with PSS Assassin should't need any special Def Items. Some Off Attributes should just convert to Def attributes.

Big need, period.

If its gonna take to long to implement, please at least give us a global server LFG chat.
