Memory would be the next problem, followed by CPU and GPU if this is correct ^^

running 2x 6870's
amd phenom 1090T x6 3.2
16 gb 1600 ram
sata3 6gb

should not have 35fps in warzones.

not shure if drivers are updated on this dxdiag, as i took it right after fresh install, all drivers up to date now though.

dxdiag¨

Lots of ppl on the fleet = CPU load not GPU load. This due to Dx9. Your HD won't affect your steady FPS.

Rinse and do again.
*Cough* A 32bit process can only use 3 gb *cough*

And only if the LAA is enabled if not it only has acces to 2 gb.

Next point .. i want you to test something go to your ship have the gpu usages overlay and start opening UI windows. Your GPU usage instantly drops to 0% another example of bad coding. Yes this whole mess is BW=EA's fault for not using the HERO-engine to its fullest capabilities there is even a sections that allows doing what we are doing having certain files in the RAM.. and they simply refused to use it.

Spread the word.

Great info on this thread, keep it bumped and get others to bump it.

This gave me some FPS improvements, but I had to search out how to do it.

Tutorial on how to create a RAM drive and the free program to do it.

Do this in your command prompt (Run as Admin) for both files.

I think the memory management in this game is horrid. It is like the programmers they use have no clue how to run more then 2 threads at the same time let alone not create memory leaks in the game so it creates a bigger mess the longer you run it.

32 bit is just stupid to use in a world where 99.9% of all computers are 64 bit.

Nothing I can see in your dxdiag...other than the crossfire setup. I don't know a thing about that our SLI, so perhaps someone else can shed some light. Nice rig though

The biggest problem i have with the memory management (which is completely OFF topic ) Is the fact the game uses two processes:

1 = for the main game itself
2 = for the rendering

Both processes combined is still less than 2gb and far less then 3gb. I simply cant understand why it would use 2 processes while it easily could have used 1. Add to that the bad management with these files and the way they are loaded into the game. I simply come to this conclusion:

"Its not the HERO-engines fault its what BW did with it" They should have hired people from HERO and let them do everything regarding the engine. Then we would never had so many problems but thats just my 2 cents.

I still fully understand why they would use a 32 bit process its quite logically because its easier to code for/ there are still some pc's out there that have a 32bit OS. But the way they handled this is far from good.

The memory leaks like most things i needed to fix myself with a small little program called Memory Cleaner. Since the moment i started using that the game worked fine because the leaks quickly where cleaned up. But the fact there are so many is not good.

Anyways back on topic:

We need a reply from a CM or DEV regarding the found fix to one of the many problems with the game's FPS. Or if they even are going to fix the engine yes or no, or just going to tell everybody through another guide how to make a RAM-drive >.>

A "explanation for dummies" step by step how to create a ramdisk and link that file to it would be awsome.
