Yes. This is just the begining. Emagine everything that could be done. As long as BioWare isn't chained down trying to cater to a pre existing mmo concept.

I see hope; after all we are down to about Five serial doom Sayers on this forum (or two and their alts ) as far as 10 years of Domination.....I see TOR having long and prosperous run despite what the resident Astroturfers say.

I also want to point out that the jerkish behavior of many of the so called GW2 fans on this forum isn't indicative of Arenanet or the majority of the GW community. What you are seeing are not GW2 fans...they are Trolls using another IP....an IP that most people know very little about to create this Impossible vision of perfection that no other title can measure up to....not even GW2. Arenanet dislikes these people just as much as anyone and had security remove a couple of them from PAX last year because they were shouting obscenities at the Bioware devs.

Anyway it has been said many times if you are happy with the game fine, if not hanging out on the forums making snide remarks and prophesying doom puts you on the same level as the guy who yells jump every time they see someone on top of a building......even if it's just the super changing the AC filter. TOR is fine and will continue to be so.

I think its opposite. The gaming industry is increasing and the MMOs are as well.

They will be lucky to keep afloat in three months.

After everyone hits level 50 and all of the pretty voice acting and story line ends, everyone gets to see the core game without it, which is GARBAGE.

GW2 won't come out before September/October. They haven't even started off the public betatesting phase which will start March/April earliest.

Still I wouldn't go by videos so far, most of the stuff you got to see was pretty selective, wait for actual gameplay posted not restricted by NDA or some other content-blocking. It's not unusual for companies to only let the best things out which is also what builds up the hype.
There will be plenty of disappointment left for those over-expecting things.

They got 1.7 million subs because people were thinking this game would be great, but that was WAY back in December 31 when those numbers were taken.

Now, as more and more people hit level 50, Bioware will hemorrhage subscriptions, bleed out, and die.

That is, unless Bioware gets the lead out of their pants and gets things done/fixed/improved. If not? Bioware fails.
