I think this is actually an exploit tbh...Just like throwing the ball to a person on their platform kills him..

Pulling people who are about to score outside of the playing field, where they get killed instantly, isn't fair. If it was a regular warzone where people have no reason to get near the other team's spawn, it would be fine. After all they don't HAVE to camp the other team's spawn. Here you need to carry the ball across the line.

I'm disgusted with Bioware if they're ok with this tactic. But I guess they're ok with alot more glitches they have in their game as well, including the spawncamping orgy in Ilum that other day.

against a powertech bh, ya just throw him the ball, it kills him, get ball back immediately, score...

the other thread was a stealthed assassin so it's not possible to throw him the ball, but the workaround is to go to the extreme sides of the endzone to get the score...

my personal opinion is that it should still be allowed, but if you do get pulled, it still counts as a score even if you die...

if i had a well known person doing this on my server, i'd warn everyone on my team beforehand what to do in ops chat if i was grouped against him...
Yes, I'm pretty certain by now that they keep a good eye out for me when my name pops up in Huttball. I get some nasty tells after Repub vs. Repub Huttballs sometimes, too

Its really neither and more like a bug. In a perfect world it would count as a goal even if the ball carrier dies when he lands.

Tip. Have someone else pull that dude off the ledge before you try to score, or just CC them.

Just throw the ball at them; It kills them instantly. I don't see why so many people are complaining about this, it goes both ways? It's just another game mechanic you have to be aware of.

not if the puller is sin/shadow

the only solution for it is to count the goal when the carrier passes the line doesnt matter if walking or flying over it

this way it will be used to kill enemies that camp the zone but not to prevent goals

There are player-oriented solutions, without BW getting involved...even when the enemy player is a shadow/assassin. I already described what some of those solutions are in a prior post of mine in this very thread. Whether people choose to use those solutions, or not, is really up to them. But that really amounts to how much they want to rely on BW to PvP for them, or be intuitive on their own.

Doesnt always have to be used on the ball carrier, but sometimes, there's lots of offensive guys hugging the goal line when i come out of spawn.. killing them is impossible.. in most cases they kill me.. so nothing wrong with a little grapple to clear my spawn

Fair tactic!!! and from what i gather, the majority agree.. it seems fair
