Erm.

It is true.

Why? Because the puzzle actually functions *correctly*.

Remember, Fab himself isnt the difficult part. It's dealing with the initial double spawn of droids (something that dosent happen on Hard or NM btw), and their continued spawn.

In HM/NM, you have a puzzle option for that. In Normal, you dont.

Question is.. why is a mechanic put into place that makes the boss *easier* on harder difficulty levels, but is absent from normal mode?

It's my firm belief that the puzzle is bugged on normal and it has just not been fixed yet. Since that is the only boss out of every boss in the game (HM, NM, Op's, FP, etc) that has a mechanic that makes the fight easier on higher difficulty levels.

We had no double spawn on our normal run this week. Maybe you were unlucky. It's not even necessary to use the middle console on HM/NM. People see a ton of droids and think you need to clear them all...you don't. At all.

Its not the point of if you do or dont, its the point that the puzzle functions completely different in HM/NM.

A example would by Pylon. What if Pylon had the HM/NM debuff on NORMAL and none on HM/NM? While it would still be a joke, that would clearly be a bug.

Same thing.

Exactly. Which is why it's easier on Normal when you can just get the damage buff every time. Solve, hit the button, blow him up. Having issues with anything else on the fight is just failing.

It's true because he has more HP and the droids double spawn on Normal(they don't on HM/NM). The 2x fire debuff on Normal doesn't make up for this.

He is harder on Normal than he is on Hard mode, though he is too easy on both(just like every other fight in this game).

I'm gonna blow your mind and tell you we don't even use the probe clearing ability on nightmare so essentially we do it the same way on both difficulties because it wastes more time than anything else. The only difference is he dies way faster on normal because he's always debuffed and on nightmare you end up having to pull him further. Normal is fine. Double spawns are a bug but can be overcome by thinking about what abilities you have and using them.

The 2x fire debuff easily makes up for the greater health. Why are you taking ticks from the droids in the first place is the question. Sounds like it's harder for you, but not for everyone else.

They see all these probes and just decide since it's there they must have to kill all of them. I have zero doubt that a group of 50's in blue and orange quality gear could go in there nda roll that fight easily if they understood their class and the role they fill.

You're missing the point still and just keep saying stuff that I completely agree with. The fight is too easy, we both agree on that. I'm of the opinion that instances should take several month to clear for each difficulty. It's barely been a month and all 3 difficulty's have already been cleared. This game is a cake walk.

The point that you keep missing is that Normal mode is harder than Hard mode. You get double the amount of droids in Normal mode and the boss has more HP(which is supposed to be countered by the fact that all 3 guns give the dmg buff, when in reality the lack of the other 2 guns is more of a hindrance).

All they need to do is switch Hard/Nightmare mode with Normal mode so that Hard/Nightmare is actually more difficult than Normal. Right now it's backwards. The difficulty, or lack thereof, of the encounters specifically is another matter all together (and a matter on which we seem to agree).

Yes, you should read fumanchu's and mine. You're handling the droids incorrectly somehow. For us, there is zero change in how they are dealt with normal/hard/nightmare. Figure it out.
