My favorite is when I am guarding a healer, and i get NO heals, they just heal them selves or others around, while I die. One time i guarded one healer and killed 4 enemies keeping them stunned and taunted for much of the time, off of our TWO HEALERS, i had about 10% health after words, and got no heals, as they ran off and i got killed by two more enemies, and they got the MVP votes for the warzone.
Fact: Healers win games end of story yes you may be a balls to wall good tank but with out good healer support your dead faster then dps are.

Fact: good tanks keep healers alive and should infact get mvps from healers if they are getting gaurds.

MVP however is like american idol... not who did most work its who everyone thinks is more popular. That said i never give mvp to kills, damage, healing, or protection but who i see playing the objective move. in huttball i pay attention to who is passing and setting up for passes. in alderraan i look to see who is defending each point and who is just camping middile for kills. Those that play the objective should ALWAYS get mvp over anyone else.

Yeah it's kinda dumb I spend more time spamming charged bolts than healing for the sake of valor.

Apparently he deserves the votes because his class gets too many medals.
Yeah anyone focused on the objectives in all three Warzones is going to rack up less medals.

I ninja turrets all the time in alderan but I don't start an MVP campaign nor do I begrudge that I could have spent that effort chasing medals. I need my teammates engaging so I can ninja but I don't want that guy complaining that he deserves the MVP when I gave up medals to win the game.

If you've ever played a healer you'd know you gotta keep yourself up first and foremost, then worry about your team. A dead healer=no healing for anyone.
this, while there are healers who abuse the system (stand in acid, consume abuse, etc.) that is a symptom not the root of the issue for healers low medals/valor.

just as a dead stealther does not DPS, a dead healer benifits nobody.

Would be nice if the bubbles i am throwing around on everyone counted for something... /snfifle

*edit* ya like the others above, i try and vote for people who are doing the right thing to get the win. In huttball, the real hustlers often have almost no healing/dsp, cause they were actually playing the game instead of playing random grabass

Thats a bit of a selfish way of looking at it. On my Merc I can do the same thing. I can be number 1 in DPS, Kills, Protection, Medals, etc. But lets break this down on why I DON'T deserve MVP all the time when I do this.

1. DPS- What does this tell me??? Well, tells me I put out alot of damage. Cool, ok, but did this contribute to winning the match or did I go around and just randomly kill people?

2. Kills- Same as above....

3. Medals- Hmmm..I can EASILY get 5-6 (usually 2-4 within the first minute of a match if I'm lucky) on my own w/out going anywhere near an objective. All I have to do is randomly run around and do my thing and BAM! I have my medals.

Now, with all that being said, I know I base my votes on multiple things.

1. How many objective points did he get? Was he defending the entire game in Civil War? Did he run the ball most of the time in Huttball? How much healing did that person do? Did that healer keep me up through 2-3 v 1 so I COULD get the numbers I got?

2. Next I look at the high damage folks. What did they contribute OTHER than top kills/dmg/medals? Did they stand back in Voidstar and protect the healers? Spam AoE on the door to keep the other team from putting a bomb up? Did they help pick people off who were going 2-3 v 1 against one of my teammates?

These are things that I know I ask myself BEFORE giving my MVP vote. As for you getting MVP based on your numbers only, then no, I wouldn't vote for you. If I saw you protecting the healers and not getting heals, I would toss you a few heals, help you out, and probably vote for you in the end over those healers. Again, overall kills/dps/medals doesn't mean much to me. It's what you did during the match.

OP, you get rewarded by medals. Healers get the shaft in terms of medals, so I auto vote them MVP as long as they are primarily healing. If there were no healers, I generally vote for whoever I felt contributed most towards a win (or if we lost, I will just vote for the best player).

Ten bucks says the OP is a pure DPS spec. Sorry bro... I don't care in the slightest if you are top damage. There is no warzone in the game right now with damage as an objective. Until there is... I will NEVER vote for you. See that healer over there? The one desperately trying to keep everyone alive and dying because helping him would interfere with your "Solo Kill" medal? Yeah, I am voting for him.

One thing that you should consider is how thankless being the "tank" is in a warzone with no healing support. I agree that the healers are my first priority for MVP, and that tanks can rack up the medals pretty easily if they have healing support. In a bad pug though with no or bad healers, "tanking" just means you get to die a lot

What a giant pile of ****. So, because I am healing myself for 300k a match, I am not contributing. Please poor some logic out of your brilliant skull and explain to me how occupying 4 baddies makes me less deserving of your vote.

Good thing I'm on my phone or this would turn to a rant real quick like.

In summary, a healer that does 500,000 healing does NOT suck because he/she was self healing because the enemy was smart and occupied the healer. IN FACT, my healing guide specifically states, healers self preservation is paramount. Live to fight another day, there will always be more dps to down whomevers beating on you.

Good day, learn to play.

You mean people in your warzones actually vote?
