It's frustrating, I play a vangard. My character is usually #1 in dps, kills, protection, medals. Yes, i get no votes. The healers get them all.

I know we need healing but this is ridiculous.

My favorite is when I am guarding a healer, and i get NO heals, they just heal them selves or others around, while I die. One time i guarded one healer and killed 4 enemies keeping them stunned and taunted for much of the time, off of our TWO HEALERS, i had about 10% health after words, and got no heals, as they ran off and i got killed by two more enemies, and they got the MVP votes for the warzone.

Well the healers you have experienced are *******, peroid.

But, the fact that someone is playing the game in a way that benefits a group makes sense to vote for them. I do it. I dont care how much damage someone does ever. What matters is the people that were going after the objective and working as a team in that sense. So tanks and healers always get my votes, just a matter of who i noticed doing it more.

So what you're saying is since you picked a spec that gets too many medals you also deserve all the votes?

Medals aren't an indicator of who helped their team most, especially since healers get gimped hard on medals.

So anyway, healers get votes because we keep your sorry arse alive and we get screwed on medals as well.

I hear protection medals take a LOT of effort also @lol
Throw up a guard, taunt on cd=4 medals

If I notice you actually playing good you might get my vote, but I usually vote for someone contributing a lot and getting a low amount of medals.
You already got top medals so you don't have to complain.

I can say, as a healer, that tanks often get shafted at the MVP votes (that's ignoring the whether or not they actually did their job well). Which is a bummer because PvP tanks are awesome sauce and I love you guys (and vote for you if you did well)!

However... I have also noticed that if some deeps punk did 1337 damage and has lots of objective points or medals, they usually get the votes even over me, which happens more often than I'd like.

Playing a support role is always gonna be the least publicly rewarding, because in essence we do most of the 'behind-the-scenes' work. Plus, the game is also a little young, and I don't think the deeps kiddies understand what the 'Protection' category really means, and that PvP tanks are indeed 100% viable.

I always take pleasure after a victorious match by thinking to myself that I just won that game for us (with the help of good PvP tanks). :3

Lemmings
Lemmings 2
Lemmings 2: The Tribes
Oh No! More Lemmings
3D Lemmings
Holiday Lemmings 1993
Holiday Lemmings 1994
Lemmings Paintball
Lemmings Revolution
Lemmings X-Mas
The Lemmings Chronicles
Ultimate Lemmings

As you can see from the list above, Lemmings deserve the MVP votes because not only did they stick around for years, they were very successful.

This is coming from a healer so it might be a bit biased:

There 3 things I want to address in your post.

1. Receiving the most medals in a warzone generally =/= contributing the most to your team

2. Healers (unless they stop healing to do damage) get far fewer medals and thus less valor than a player who does damage.

3. If you're already getting so much valor from all those medals, why are you complaining about missing out on the few valor points from mvp?

Yup. Often times the player I noticed off on his own not playing the objectives got the most medals.

Yeah it's kinda dumb I spend more time spamming charged bolts than healing for the sake of valor.

Apparently he deserves the votes because his class gets too many medals.

I hate the MVP system. It's lame and needs to be taken out of the players hands. Voting is way too subject to manipulation by little Timmy and the two friends that he queued up with.

I'll consistently end Warzones with top 5 DPS overall, top 3 (Usually 1st place) on my team, top 3 heals on my team, most objective points on my team, never the most medals because I'm not chasing medals to the detriment of my team, and not get a single MVP vote.

Last night, I had 1st place DPS, 1st place kills, 3rd place healing, and most objective points so many times and I got MVP once and guess what...

I didn't get an MVP bag or bonus. So I guess I got the bug where you don't get credit for a win in the only game that I got the MVP vote last night.

Anyway, the MVP should go to the player with the highest ranking average across all of the statistics on the scoreboard. Medals should have a reduced contribution to your overall average to try to cut down on medal farming.

It shouldn't be left in players hands to vote for MVP.

I vote for the healer, if I actually see him in action (not nescessaryliy on me). Sadly lots of "healers" produce high numbers by tanking and healing themselfs alone...

I hope selfheal will be removed from the stats at one point.
