Most overpowered class/ability at its peak?

I'll stray a bit from the common 'WoW' / SWTOR comparisons.

Out of the 25 classes avalible in eq2 The most OP abilities/classes were/are:

Shadowknight - HarmTouch
Mystic - Deadly bane warding (back when it was broken)
Assassin - assassinate (PFT too, but thats a predator ability in general)
Brigand - BlackJack and DOM
Troubador - Mezz
Troubador - Charm (you could charm a player in pvp... and he'd attack his own side/party.) also this was used during a 1v1 for the troubador to instantly get OOC, since the opposition was basically a short term pet of the troubador, there are nomore enemies around to be inc with lol).. I cant tell you the times iv'e witnessed a troubador charm the MT or MT healer in a raid that just pulled a highly scripted raid mob in the openworld (known as avatars) its a wipe almost everytime.. all from one ability from one measly troubador. And he doesnt even have to be in a party or be geared or even be at lvl cap to do this, wipe an entire raid of endgame hardcores lol)

Dirge - when their mythical weapon was broken ( they had a proc on their myth that would make their auto attacks hit for MAX damage for a duration.So..they'd go around 1 shotting people.)

Bruiser and monks too - their death saves

swashbuckler - DOM
Inquisitor - verdict (when it worked in pvp that is, its an abilitie that insta kills the target when at 10% or below HP. for pve raid mobs it is 2% or below)

Warden - Mythical weapon proc of pretty much infinate power (power is mana, idk what u call it in WoW)

Crusaders in general (shadowknights & Paladins) - all of their abilities/heals or lifetaps make them retartedly OP.It wasn't uncommon to have 3hour 1v1s between 2 crusaders that both had good power proc gear. And it also wasn't uncommon to see one take out an entire group or last a rediculous amount of time before defeat.Alot of times running an entire group out of power

DAOC

Buff-botted stealthers...just before TOA. I quit when that expansion came out so can't speak to it afterwards.

The amount of burst they could put out was insane.

I remember my warden, (premiere defensive class) in top of the line pvp armor at max level and rr 6 running out to meet a group in the pvp area. Got jumped by a midgard stealther...killed me in literally about 6 or 7 seconds. Just crazy.

Guard from any tank class is the most OP move in MMO history for PvP. 1 click and you mitigate 50% damage just by being in the vicinity for as long as you want.

The bubbles are by far not the most overpowered things in this game. Look at crowd control.

I only played till about 2003-4 but I can still remember Blattos run casting and holding like 20 of us off and even killing several with very few deaths of his own.

PS: For those that don't know slide/run casting was basically doing a Contra style 99 lives code lol which allowed you to break cast animation and in the early days you could run full speed while doing any full long cast spells. Heals, damage(War spells) self/armor buffs whatever.

Except that it's a 50% transfer...

it is and always has been stealth.

Don't think so? Try removing one ability from a class and see how they stack up, then try removing stealth from a stealther.
Keys are lame

Witch Elves at launch of WAR *and Bright Wizards* . DoK's soon after. WoW mages for the past 3 years. WoW warlocks for the 2 years before.

No class in SWTOR is even close to any of these btw. Not even close. Don't get me wrong I think Sorcs need a balance, and Operatives definitely did - but they are nowhere near as bad as some of that ****.

Oh I forgot about Pale Masters in NWN. Jesus Christ.
