Would you play an "offline" version of SWTOR (maybe for a lower monthly fee)?

I would not. That would be pretty boring, IMO. There are better, more immersive single player experiences out there. I posted in another thread last night and as usual, I managed to get last post on page 74 during a heated argument between 3 or 4 posters. So I'll say it again.

I like doing the solo thing with other people around me. Its like driving your car around town, listening to your radio, and I can see the other people and they can see me, we can admire each others cars briefly but we're all doing our own thing, ships passing in the night.

Would you be happier playing it offline with no other players around? Would you do so if it only cost $5 per month to play offline instead of $15? (to cover the development of new content)
not really the way these games work......plenty of games for that purpose, this isnt one of them.

Ignore the troll, he just has his knickers in a knot because not everyone want to participate in group content all of the time. And some palyers actually want more solo content grouped with 3 companions to get the most out of them.

His last thread in an attempt (thread) to rally the forums against players who enjoy solo play failed miserably. Now he's beating the drum to a different tune trying a different tact.

This thread is a thinly veiled attempt to try and prove a point that this is really a single player game.

And no, I wouldn't.

This is supposed to be an MMO. It's advertised as an MMO. Why in blazes would we remove other players. It's already pathetic you never need them during the leveling process, why would you make it even worse.

We need there to be more grouped content not less. Go play mass effect.

I've heard rumors that they're going to add online functionality in the future.

But seriously, I'm amazed how half the people are like "That's ridiculous" and the other half are like "It goes online?".
"Skill" is the only PvP stat anyone should ever need.

If I replaced "half" with "some", would you sleep better at night?
