Contradictory statements?

My honest thoughts?

Go back to wow if you don't like it. I'm loving it on alts and main. I'm enjoying the story lines quite a bit. I've got a bounty hunter tank light side, bounty hunter merc light side, sith assasine dark side etc.

I'm not at all bored in game. What I'm bored with is coming to these boards and seeing posts like these, about a single person disparaging the game, Promulgating their declarations as if people have accepted his personal opinion, when the vast majority have not.

For the 100th time, you are ahead of the curve. End game will be advanced when more people get there, just as it has in every other MMORPG ever made. They are currently focusing on leveling bugs, content, crafting skills for the rest of us.

Play wow for now. Come back when the rest of us hit level and content starts going in. You will find yourself alot less angry.

So. You haven't beat all the content and you are complaining about lack of end ganme content.

Please, do us all a favor and tell me what you want to see at end game.

What curve? Curve would be present if getting to 50 wasn't so trivial. They aren't focusing on anything besides more single player stuff as opposed to MMO stuff.

I don't care if the vast majority accept my opinion or not. If you're so impressed by mass effect with coop thrown in, why aren't you playing it now? Why come to these boards. When I'm enjoying a game I don't ever need to post anything or read any boards. I'm kinda busy playing the game....

What?

Wow leveling is horrid, redundant, booring as hell.

There is only one way to level in wow, that is to use recruit a friend, run three box three accounts and have a main blast them through levels, at 350% xp and just get through it. That game is all about getting to end game as fast as is possible because the rest of it is horrid. This game, leveling is almost not noticeable because it is a strong part of the game....unless you are racing to 50 as you did in wow. Wrong game for that.

Look, you can argue that you hate this game (though I have no idea why anyone would stick around to rant about a game they obviously find inferior to a game they are not playing), but to argue that leveling here is worse then wow is, well, quite frankly, its ridiculous.

So since I still wish to play, I've rerolled (feels like Bioware cheering in the back saying "mission accomplished" for another reroller). It's hard to describe how linear and easy this game is. I'm going to the same planets, doing the same crap in the same exact order... Like my initial playthrough I'm constantly outleveling the zones I go through. Even WoW for all its flaws gave you the possibility to jump to different zones in completely different continents to level.

Instead I get, Hutta/Korriban (oooooh choice see...)-DK-Balmorra-Nar Shaddaa-Tatooine-Alderaan-Taris-Quesh-Hoth-Belsavis-Voss and Corellia. The VO for every single quest is sort of stupid too the second time around, there is no reason to listen to it besides for choosing the appropriate LS/DS choice for your build. The class story is the only positive and even it is getting stale since none of the choices you make matter anyway. Why can't I kill my companion if I don't like him or if he betrays me? Why can't I go against what is asked of me and do something completely different? Thought this was a story based MMO, yet I can't decide anything, I'm just being guided and can decide to be an obedient watchdog or disrespectful douche.

This would all be ok if it actually took some time to get to level cap. But it does not, it is incredibly easy to just solo to 50 in a short time. I realize WoW is the same now, but in Vanilla it took time to get to 60, it felt like an accomplishment. On my sith jug I dinged it on Voss... (a planet that I completely outleveled at the time so the content was trivial).

Anyways had to rant this out, sorry, but.... thoughts?

That is how MMOs work now you have to roll with it or just wait for EQ Next...but even that will probable be the same as well. Plus that will be SOE soo yeaaaaa.

You clearly have not played Vanilla WoW or even TBC for that matter. The levelling, although not the main part of the game (as in SWTOR) at least gives you choice.

This game gives you a poor illusion of choice. It gets you from planet to planet in the same exact order with no choice in the matter. Even the VO options you read are meaningless and you can choose anything you want.

How exactly did I race to 50 either. I've just gotten there a few days ago and did every single quest while listening to every pointless VO fluff they added. I'm sorry I'm not terrible at leveling to indulge you, but its pathetically easy.

You also experience different parts of the worlds in a different order and for different reasons. There are parts of worlds that you cannot see on one faction or the other. Changing factions has a few big changes that are interesting and fun.

Once again, disparaging the game, making declarations based on hyperbole and conjecture, but now extending the argument to players for reading the boards?

Silly. I read the boards as part of my playing experience. They can be a good source of information and a place to exchange ideas. I answer post like this because they are typical made by the misinformed, those that created a false sense of expectation, or those looking for a different type of game and choose to disparage the game and include me in their sophomoric assumptions.

It is not your opinion that is at issue here, it is your ridiculous assumptions based on your wrongful expectations and wrongful play.

Once again, you are making assumptions. This game is not about "hard", or "challenge". It is a MMORPG, not an MMO shooter. You are playing expecting "challenge", the game is centered around, and I am enjoying story line and immersion.

This will become an end game, game at some point, but to argue that it should be a month after release, simply because you choose to play it differently then was intended, when the main player base is in the 20s and 30s is silly. This is not, Call of Duty, its a social, interactive long term MMORPG.

Post shattering all zones in wow are extremely linear too and once you hit outlands you're pretty much stuck with the same quests for the major part of the game. Oh and cata zones are exactly like in SW
