And to piss them off:

I would love to have World of Warcraft's LFD/LFR systems implemented into SWTOR. It is the pinnacle of grouping technology and should be emulated in all MMO's (and currently is). They continue to refine and improve upon it and I would love to see how Bioware uses their story and immersion expertise to craft such a tool.

Fully teleporting.
Fully cross-server.

Oh yeah, and can we please have cross-server Warzones, as well.

Thank you!
Don't forget cross server grouping via real id and then being able to pvp/pve with those people

As it is now, swtor is lightyears behind.

We're not in the 90's anymore.
Pro Dungeon tool. Pro Cross server. Pro Dual AC. Pro Dual spec.

You have no idea how happy I am to come back to this thread and not have to read whatsherface and whatshisfaces posts (outside of some quoting them).

Pro:
1) Teleporting.
2) Cross-Server.
3) Taking into account ignore/friends.
4) Improved loot system.

I no longer care anything about the Anti-LFG groups arguments. Hooray for the Ignore function in forums.

Edit: I dig the idea of getting to friend/ignore people from other Servers. I really dug Blizzard's mechanic where you could friend the account of a person and get to talk to any/all of their characters regardless of server (and I think faction? can't remember.) Talk about contributing to the socialization of the game.
Just because I do not care, does not mean I do not understand.

Agreed. Just because certain things "used to be" a certain way, doesn't continue to make them relevant. Hooray new innovations and ideas.

You're more than welcome Thank you for your continued dialogue and fantastic ideas. I am Mallas/Malign on server Vornskr if we ever get to have cross-server friends lists.

Edit: Look at that, just participating in the LFG forum I've socialized, can't wait to see how much it contributes to my "server community."

Honestly if there was X-server groups I know at least 5-6 people in this thread alone that would be doing a few flash points together because we've socialized in a manner that we liked to and weren't forced. Shocking eh? That disproves another one of Rachel's lies that I had mentioned earlier.

Well it's been over a month and no one from the anti-LFD side has provided ANY evidence that it's severly damaging to the community outside of anecdotal evidence and correlation. Funny part is when we present the facts that can quantifed and demonstrated they're "easily" dismissed. Congrads guys, first we got an announcement that they are working on something and it's looks like we won the informal debate. Next up is focusing on how to make it so both sides benefit.
Our lack of a proper LFD tool will black out the sun!
Then we shall cancel our subs in the shade!

Agreed Sir. To me it seems that there should be a 3rd mode that the Random Finder won't queue you for. That would make it simple, if you want mode 1 or 2, Random Finder to the rescue. Get a bunch of runs under your belt, then you've got some gear and made some friends, and boom you and three people you know get time together and run mode 3. Mode 3 has better gear, isn't easily accessed, and provides challenge. I feel like this could solve the majority of the gripes that I have heard. I really feel like a X-server friends mechanic would be rockin.

Edit: Seriously, what is the major difference between normal and hard mode? All I've really noticed is some rage timers and additional powers on bosses. How hard could it be to make a 3rd, harder, mode? Stuff whatever awesome gear/schematics/yadda into 3rd mode that they want.

Yeah, also it was mentioned that doing a flash point heroic server side will NOT lock you into the instance and X-server will. Stuff like that is good.

MalignX, you have a placeholder on the first page, I think it's time we threw the small list of facts on the debate up there and just copy + paste it everytime we get a baseless challenge. You recall who posted it and what post? Let me know if you need help finding it, I'm just getting some stuff done at work atm.

I kind of patched together some but it doesn't look very comprehensive, I've got at least two front page spaces, if you'll mail me the list you'd like up, I am all over it.

Hey I have unsuscribed, but if a cross server LFD is implemented, as well assorted with a cross server friend list, be assured, that Blue, Touch and you will be on mine.

Oh and bless the ignore function. I'm tired of reading nonsense after nonsense fed by paranoia, and justifying a terrible group recruitment process.

We're in 2012, give us a cross server LFD, damnit!

Any news about how the design phase of the group finding tool is coming along? A strong iteration on grouping systems in an MMO should be a no brainer really. I'm glad you guys are so active on the topic.
