I think by "healing" the OP actually meant "Sorceror healing."

I wanted to explain that the 6k crits you occasionally see in PvP are quite rare, usually it's around 4k on a main heal and if you do see a 6k crit, that healer has used stims/adrenals/relics and it's probably just going for the 5k single heal medal.

Healing is not overpowered in PvP, because to be a powerful healer you end up with poor damage, but with some LOS and nice rotations you get a boost to survivability, which I suppose leads enemies to think you are "OP".

All it takes is one enemy to focus on me and suddenly I can't heal my team effectively because my mitigation sucks (force armour helps a bit but one good 3k crit and it's gone). Everyone targets healers, it's just a fact of well planned PvP, so really we need to be able to survive a bit of a beating.

Time your interupts and knockbacks and we'll drop very quickly, especially Sages who need to stand still for all our best heals.
While yes you dont have a large ammount of midigation, when you consider sage/sorcs cc knockback capabilities on top of the powerful heals it becomes OP. Not to mention in WZs you can single handedly hold someone off a node in Civil War, prevent a large group from getting the ball into you base in Huttball or even keep yourself or someone else alive through the most rediculous dmg provided they use cds even half way decent, pull someone out of harmsway or into an easy goal, and voidstar you can almost definety single handedly prevent several people from planting a bomb through shear survivability.

I think a major problem is that too many classes can heal period. There should only be 1 dedicated healing class in the game on each faction, the sorcerer can it for the imps and the sage can be it on the republic.
The fact that almost all classes can heal in combat except warriors is just too much and doesn't make any one class unique in anyway. Likewise, there should also be a class that specializes in rooting, stuns, and ensnares, which again would make that class more unique in the game.
Right now, its a cluster **** in PVP WZ's because of all the classes that can heal, stun, knockback, root, ensnare, etc, and it can be more frustrating then anything.

No offence but if you are actually trying to participate in a Group vs Group fight, trying to solo kill a healer sure sounds like L2p issues.

how is trying to lock down a healer in a group fight an L2P issue? I take it you dont go for healers ever and you let them run wild tipping the balance of the battle completely in their favor?

the 20% healing debuff is far too weak

bring that percentage up and make healing less difficult to overcome for a PURE DPS CLASS

LOL agreed with the CC part especially since the resolve bar doesnt work well enough and with this ammount of CC from every class a 2 minute CD isnt nearly fast enough. I dont entirely mind that so many classes have heals but make it so that when they spec into something like dps or tanking they reduce the effectiveness of the heals they have. Instead now you have a dps class that can cast a 4k heal or something like that.

I also have a madness sorc that I can crit heal for 3.5k and thats at lvl 40.

How many people SHOULD be required to kill a healer? 1? 2? 4?

Whatever number you pick, I'm perfectly ok with it as long as tank are adjusted such that it takes at least 1 more to kill them, assuming no healer.

Or are you saying that healers should have more survivability then tanks?

Wait, you probably are saying that. I mean they already do more dmg then dps classes and control better then control classes, so why not.

So aparently the new formula to winning wzs is

Have as many healers as possible.... ive lost several wzs today when they had nothing but commando/sages mabye 1 or 2 other classes....

oh yeah and i wound up with over 300k dmg and didnt even get the 10 kills medal.... being annhilation now i should have got credit for anyone i attacked basically as the dots roll through for quite a bit.

Oh yeah and before you call me bad, mabye 1 or 2 people had that 10 kills medal as i actually didnt see anyone with it.... i looked.
