Against a bounty hunter with <14k hp, i.e. not in equal gear. I'm similarly geared as the person who made that video - and I've had 7k crits before. Just not against anyone in pvp gear.

"Burst" has nothing to do with single large number crits... its what you can combo with a large crit, and what you need to do *before* that, which determines if that skill combo is balanced.

Opener Combos which do 16-20k dmg in the 1st 5 seconds are broken .. (fixed in 1.1.1)

Opener combos which do 10-12k arent broken...and still restricted to stealth classes in 1.1.1

Mid fight combos which do 12k+ AFTER a 7+ second lead time (which all DPS classes can do) are absolutly fine.

A Jugg/Knight might hit you one time for 6k, but hasnt got much to back that up with afterwards.

Class is balanced.

As much as I would love to tell you the exact skill to use at every moment in PvP and help you take that next step towards being productive in Warzones, I don't play the class. I don't know every single skill and I'm not interested in learning them. I was merely giving an example of the kind of burst that is possible. If you can't replicate that, then it's on you.

Like I said before, I don't care if the class is nerfed. I just thought it was comical seeing so many people up in arms in this thread saying "OMG IT'S NOT EVEN THAT GOOD" when it isn't just good, the class is great. And it's about time people realized that and stopped complaining.

2 shot no. 3 maybe. My smash can get up to 6k+, 4k scream, execute. But I'd have to walk up to them with shockwave and dominate running with adrenal and relic off cooldown. They'd also have to be severely undergeared. I have hit battlemasters for 5k+ but they have much larger health pools so crapping on them in 3 globals won't happen.

You know, if they made it a requirement that you had to actually know things about the class you were asking to have nerfed, there wouldn't be a single thread on the pvp forums.

I think you're missing my point all along.

Here:

~5-6k aoe crit smashes with an immediate ~2-3k follow-up paired with damage reduction / invulnerability whatever it may be is not "working as intended" and "deviates from the norm."

I'm referring to this dude talking about this from the original post. That video you linked does not support what he's been saying. Not every Guardian will get what you linked and I didn't see anything that matches what the OP is complaining about looking at the link you provided. I did see a single hit for 7k which is close to what he's talking about a few times in that video. Mentioned before I'm sure that was someone caught with their pants down or severely under geared vs. his probable full BM set.
