Thanks. So, it sounds like there is still the possibility for tokens but at a lower RNG. And the other default bags are 15/7 commendations. Do-able. Kind of takes the fun out of the bag.

But what he's saying does not make sense. How can you get battlemaster gear with tokens?

Same way you do now.

I thought the Champion and BH equipment sets before the patch had options to purchase equipment with either a single specific token or 67 commendations (champ commendations for champ gear etc.). That still hasn't change to my knowledge. Just the single specific tokens have lower RNG. Theres a difference between tokens and commendations. Before the patch 67 commendations approx = 1 token.

I think but am not positive that the random pieces of gear you get is still going to happen. They are just upping the number of tokens in each back now.

Nevermind, seems they keep clarifying.

Looks like a good change after all.

Ok, if they aren't going to nerf PVP gear, then what does this mean??

As part of this effort, specifically for PvP, we are also working on changes that will reduce the gear related power difference between new characters at level 50 and players in full PvP gear. We feel that at the current time, this difference is too high.

The updated post and system is much more clear about what they intended than was the first dev post about it.

Indeed, this might be enough to get me to resub when my current time runs out...

The change will make it easier for new 50s to quickly get a full set of Centurion items, thus narrowing the gap. Currently, it can take quite awhile to get a set of Centrurion gear and often times, it's easier to skip Cent and go straight for Champion items. Basically, new 50s won't be in non-expertise gear for as long as they are now.
