Precisely. Thanks for the change. Now we can outfit our Companions in Centurion gear and still not be competitive against Battlemasters until grinding out Valor 60, and only then have a realistic chance of getting gear they already acquired with luck and being unemployed. Awesome!

A further issue is it widens an already wide gap in power. As an example I saw a player the other day at valor rank 29 that had nearly all of the champ gear. Contrast that with the next patch where you will have fresh 50's, some of whom will vastly outrank lvl29, and they have an even worse chance (patch making Champ RNG worse) to be on an even playing field with someone they outrank. How does this make sense to anyone?

Bio fubared this coming out of the gate and now they are trying to bandaid the problem and really the only thing that will fix it is amputation. If this system had been in place from the get go then all would be fine but as it stands it's just making things worse for anyone who has not reached 50 yet and 50's who have had crap luck with the RNG.

Yes people asked for a change and yes Bio is doing it in a way that makes the tiers available in a linear manner like they should of been in the first place but the horses are already out of the barn. Make Cent armor purchasble with WZ/Merc coms or even credits, take it out of the equation all together. Make champ bags drop champ tokens and champ coms. Make BM bags drop BM tokens and BM coms. Adjsut prices accordingly and try to forget you ever came up with this RNG fiasco.

I want to know, is the chance to get BM commendations from BM bags also increased?

And now we see the true root of this argument: People can't stand being beaten by players who invest more time and are more dedicated than they are.

The whole concept is screwed up.

It works like this:
1. First one to 50 wins as they get the gear first.
2. NO TALENT REQUIRED AT ALL. Simply be online playing the most to be OP.
3. Each tier favors the same people over and over as this never changes.
4. Those that are stating the game give up on PVP as it is a effort in futility. (At 50)
5. Those that can not PVP at 50 give up and play PVP lower levels forever.
6. Over time PVP gets smaller and smaller as it is only fun if you are OP.
7. FACTION BALANCE GETS WORSE OVER TIME. (PVP favors one side always)

Now number 7 already exists so the game is going to go down hill fast in PVP.
Very well said. Any game that keeps this hamster wheel spinning creates a small group of elites at the expense of the rest of the player base. Instead of people constantly trying to seek a gear advantage, can we just jump off this wheel? It's unimaginative at best. The company that's creative enough to move past the gear grind for the next game is going to make a mint.

I do not like this change one bit.

It takes, what 67 champ commendations for 1 piece? And we only get 3 of those per bag? I don't care about centurion (my pve armor is better than that, i am trying for champ+). I admit that getting 3 relics, 2 boots, and 2 leggings champ items is annoying but I at least knew that I would eventually get the whole set with the bags.

I agree with this...
"This change is too late. Making champion gear harder to get at this point is not helping the new 50s. It's just making the gear gap tougher.

Give centurion gear for warzone commendations. Give champion tokens from champion bags."

... Or perhaps go back to the system with champ items in the bags (non low RNG), but make it a single item. Why do we need separate champ tokens for the differet equipment pieces? Just make it one token. That eliminates people getting 4 boots and no gloves.

No, they said the intention here was to reduce RNG and reduce the gear gap, but they're widening it.

I'm Valor rank 47, I've got PvE gear that is better than Centurion for PvP, mixed with a few champion pieces.

Therefore bags are 100% worthless to me unless they drop a Champion piece, and they're reducing the droprate greatly.

People: "We at least want an entry level PvP set."

BW: "We are giving you easy access to what amounts to an entry level PvP set."

Vocal Minority: "This is not what we wanted, we hate you and will not be giving you our business anymore."

Everyone else: "Sweet."

Champion Bags now always contain 15 Centurion Commendations AND 7Champion Commendations. Battlemaster Bags now always contain 15 Champion Commendations. So Centurion gearing up progression for new level 50s is increased significantly and Champion gearing up progression will be steady.
You will get champion commendations from your champion bags. This immediately reduces the RNG. Read the posts that clearly explain these issues before you come in screeching about things you haven't even researched.

Provide me a single quote where I said that.

Feel free to go back through my entire post history.

As I have already clarified once in this thread, I wasn't discussing how it should be, I was discussing their claim that it's what we asked for.

No, the root of the argument is that amount of played time shouldn't determine the winner of a fight. A SKILLED new 50 should have a chance at winning a fight and not be reduced to losing just because some else spent 10 hours a day playing under the old system.

Current Battlemasters aren't more dedicated or have more skill. They just have more played time than others. In fact, it takes less skill for them in PVP now since they have such a huge gear advantage over other players.
