I can't take the pointless travelling between planets...

The most hilariously bad thing about this are the parts in your class quests where you are sent to talk to your class trainer on the fleet. You get there and not even a line of dialog. You just activate the trainer and your class updates telling you to trek to another planet.

If people have loading screens that last more then several seconds then they need to ditch their 5400 rpm 1990 hard drive and upgrade to something faster and newer..

Elevator load screens are 1 sec and planet load screens vary from 5-10 seconds on average.. on a rare occasion I've had to wait up to 12-15 seconds for a few planets but thats usually during peak hours
F2P is like driving on a long stretch of highway with toll booths every 1/2 mile

Suppose to be a vacation time for you between Acts.... But yeah they could add some dialogue like so you ready to get back to work or something like that..

Except that's not true, people with top spec PCs with SSDs are having loading screen freeze issues (and people looking at the network info suggest its something server side), there's loads of threads on this very issue.

Never the less a loading screen is a loading screen and when interspersed with running you simply can't avoid it (or go get a cup of tea whilst doing the loady-cokey).

You've just got to go through it again and again be it the first time or the 1,000,000 time you've done that particular journey.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

bump for importance! Make them go away, or be faster at least (and no, I don't have a 5400 RPM hard drive)

i hate these wow-comparisons, but if you were traveling through the whole world of the classic version, the number of loading screens you would come across was exactly

>>>> 1 <<<<

i donīt say that there was no dumb running around in that game but at least there was no athmosphere-killer neither

Wait if your load screen is sooooooooo long why can't you go get a cup of tea while you wait for that to happen?

Because TOR requires you to move between different planets for levelling purposes, playing with lower or higher level friends is quite awkward.
And you wonder why in the previous iterations of this thread people were saying that they want the game to be in one square. Because quite frankly that's what a planet in SW:G was. One big ole square. Now you just said they didn't bother leaving said planet so they're just playing in ONE BOX.

What some of you defenders of the current status quo are not getting is that there is simply no reason for these extra steps but to waste time. I will backtrack on that...you may get it, but just because you do not value your time, does not mean others do not value theirs.

If the only defense for leaving the extra steps in is:

Deal with it!

Get a quicker computer!

It was worse in X game!

You are not providing anything compelling to keep these extra steps in.

I don't get why some people get so defensive when others suggest changes to better "their" game play.

This is not a request for a change that would benefit some, but hurt others like nerfing something, or adding in tediousness.

It is about smoothing out the game play and getting rid of additional unnecessary steps with no logical reason behind them.

For those so defensive over the suggestions to change travel...why? Provide a valid reason why? I am curious what the mental block is, or what some of us maybe missing.

Do other things need fixing more than this? Sure.

Does that mean this cannot be put on the list of things to review and modify? Definitely not.

The only time I had issues like that was back in Beta, haven't had long load screens since the game went live... Back in Beta Tattoine and Alderaan had terrible load times especially coming out of warfronts...
