Lets loose the tag Massive then, we already should ditch Role play as most dont like it and heckle those that do. so we are left with Multiplayer Online Game.

While we are on lets just get rid of levels, and the need for loot and different items.

We can all sit in a small little area going through a door to where an elite monster waits to hand us over some free loot
I can't brain today...I have the dumb

Here we go again. Thank you for your insightful contribution to this thread.

People don't want to waste their time running through the same dark, lifeless orbital stations/hangars every single time they travel from one planet to the other - and they don't want to have to put up with several loading screens while doing so.

Sounds like a legitimate concern to me.

Also: Double post. Because I can.

Look I am all for the reduction of instances, so we dont have to load every few seconds, but not at the cost of making the game feel big.

I would love to see you zone off your ship into a airlock and from there its populated , then you can travel on any one of a number of shuttles to the surface, so you dont need to taxi about.

It's amazing to me that just a decade ago people sat on hour long boat rides in these games and today people complain about a 5 minute travel from one planet to the next.

Welcome the ADHD generation of gamers.

Yeah it's pretty amazing isn't it? Hm no, actually it isn't. Times have changed and so has gaming.

I'm repeating myself. Running through the same corridors and hangars every time you travel to another planet is neither immersive nor fun whatsoever.

Insulting everyone who doesn't share your opinion and contributing nothing new to the thread will get you nowhere by the way.

You are not seriously saying you enjoyed staring at your screen for one hour, watching your char on a boat, do you? I know I know, in the good old times you went everywhere on foot too, in winter and uphill - all the time!

Apart from that, if I have say two hours of playtime on a given evening, I would certainly pick a more interesting activity than spending half of that (or more) with watching my char do some boring travelling. Which I am kinda doing anyhow while playing this game

I fully agree with those posters asking to reduce travelling times, especially related to accessing / leaving player ships. Not being able to use my speeder in those spaceports really annoys me. And that ship droid drives me insane too - the other day I actually tried to sneak past him in stealth, which in fact did not trigger him. But the ship exit refused to work...

Gave up on, and lost interest in finishing the agent story with ALL the POINTLESS zoning between planets. Go here, back to Drommund Kass, back where you were, etc. The last straw was finishing and zoning off Belsalvis, only to have to zone RIGHT back in for a pointless cutscene.

When zoning is two plus minutes, and the game has memory leaks, its not mere annoyance that is making me angry.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me

The difference is immersion... You might enjoy that boat ride as you roleplay your character. You choose to take that ride ahead of time.

Lengthy loading screens between multiple empty rooms that serve no purpose are immersion breaking and simply annoykng.
