Farming isn't done in Ilum. Maybe for a very small % of the population. The farming is done in WZ's morons.

They might as well just give you all the top PVP gear when you first reach 50 for no effort or time sink at all, in fact just make every class the same then no one could complain about anything apart from lag.
Grammar is important. Capital letters are the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

You mean fighting low levels in warzone as it was before patch 1.1 earning **** loads of commendations?
Or as farming insane amount of valor as before the Ilum hotfix?

Hard work indeed...

And most of the PvP before 50 does not even matter (towards PvP gear) as you can only stack up 1k Merc and PvP commendations and one champ bag.
That is the maximum. So everyone who hits 50 may start out with 6 champ bags which in worse case are 18 cent commendations.
Congratulations, that is not even one cent item.

Point is after the 50 bracket introduction newcomers are supposed to fight hundreds of PvPs in underdeveloped gear making them mostly the victim of long lived (mind this is not the same as good) pvp players. Hardly that much fun for the newcomers.
In the long run this will hurt the long lived players as well because newcomers may more often abandon pvp altogether out of frustration over the unequal terms there.

To sum up most of the butthurt carebears in this thread who think stomping ants = PvP:

"Oh no! My once 20% advantage is now 10 or 15%. HOW CAN I COMPETE?"

edit: I forgot to add in:

"WHAT? I live in mom's basement, don't have a social life and can therefore play 10 hours a day....I NEEDZ VALIDATION FROM THIS GAME SO MY LIFE DOESN'T FEEL SO EMPTY"

rofl

(and yes, I was in full bm before I rerolled to repub, so you might as well not bother going down that route)

The problem here is this.
Noob ppl: if u donīt give them what they want they will leave the game, that mean less money for Bio. In the Other hand the Hardcore players, will try to adapt to the situation and they will stay in the game. And big companies like this one with EA in the back, they just want 1 thing MONEY

This is great news, looks like I was smart not to waste my time PvPing until 50. Sorry for the folks who spent all their time on it, now they'll have to rely on skill as oppossed to simply out gearing some one.

Umm no. Since 1.1, Illum gives you far more Return on Investment. Especially for the Imps on servers where Repubs are still trying.

Ridiculous statement when on most servers, Imps can join an Ops group and just roll around with the zerg not really doing much of anything and get their daily and weekly done in addition to getting a ton of valor with a 200% buff.

For a lot of Repubs who had to fight there way to BM against the stronger geared, higher pop Imps...this could be insulting. But I think most people would welcome their faction having more evenly geared players.

To be honest the only people scared of an easier gear grind are the players who are god awful at PvP in the first place and depend entirely on their gear advantage to feel competent.

The starter sets won't put everyone on even ground.

It'll close the gap a little for now.

Of course when new pve content is added and pve gear gets stronger, new pvp gear tiers will come hand in hand.

BM isn't the end

NO CRAP ! You didn't spend anytime toward it why would you expect to be able to compete against people who spent a majority of there daily time online even before 50 pvping?!
Because it's a video game and it should be fun for all involved?

Most 50s are either new 50's or people who were around from day 1... because nobody sticks around to PvP at 50 after realizing the futility. They make new toons specifically for PvP becasue a lvl 10 can open a can on whoop *** on a lvl 49. And non-expertised 50 can't do crap to an expertised 50.

What is the point of an opbjective based mini-game in which the outcome is decided before the players even clash? They might as well just calculate the numbers and tell us who won. Save us the trouble of waiting 15mins. It would be just as fun as a drawn out mockery of a fight.
