Not to talk about the whole scaling process later (look WoW for that). Better stats are not needed to be better in PvP (unless you want to cream newcomers).

Rewards for good PvPers - vehicles, orange gear sets (on which you can put crafted PvP mods), titles, pets, special color crystals, ranking .... Aren't those enough to recognize how good someone is in PvP? Wishing for gear with higher stats can not have other reason, but to humiliate those who doesn't have that gear.

That principle can be even applied to PvE. Players can unlock content consequentially, receiving titles, pets, crystals, new gear (orange schematics with no stats). Isn't that a reward enough?
exactly
pvp should be about skill not about the amount of resili...expertise you have

what I would like to see is some pvp events like tournaments or similar, that would definitely liven the pvp scene

That really doesn't make any sense does it?

I'm going to just make a guess and say that the OP was planning on PVPing from the start all the way to 50 because he wanted to **** people. Probably the same dude that sucks at COD and uses wall hacks and aimbot. Now that it might be a fair fight he's getting scared. If he was truly doing PVP for the fun and challenge like he says, he'd be more than happy with them trying to even out the playing field.

And OP, don't you ever say leveling in PVP is hard ever again. That's the most ridiculous thing ever. I don't care how long you spent pvping for it is irrelevant to the gear change. Besides, someone who just hit 50 probably spent the same amount of time playing PVE and crafting and has as much right to have a fair fight in a PVP match as you.

If your winning in RL than this shouldn't bother you. But the fact that you are already 50 and I started playing before launch and am only lvl 29 would tend to favor me as having a life and you not so much.

Got one thing right, lvl 40 pvp gear has changable slots for armoring/enhancements/mods etc. Why not add in crafted oarts/pieces that are for lvl 50 only with exp on them? Would be better than lowering stats to where raiding gear would be more beneficial in pvp (ala wow, if you know your history). Reason, changing stats on current gear is easier and lazier.

Why the **** would I want orange gear sets if I have purple pvp gear? We already have a ranking, its called valor. Yeah, I want a freakin pet that jumps around annoyingly like IN wow. Pretty sure we get titles now for pvp. So no, you havent brought up anything new as a reward for pvp.

Like others have said, they won't nerf anything. Instead they will add a cheap starter set.

Nerfing would turn pvp into a pve grind ala daoc toa

No, means the carebears and casuals will now be ************ about something else in pvp when they get rolled by skilled players.

Have at the gear change, I have to find a raid so I can get gear to pvp with.

As for the guy mentioning Rift...that wasnt gear, that was a PvE game that threw in pvp to get pvers there. The classes werent even close to being balanced w/o the gear. And a pve geared person > pvp geared.

Carebears and casuals meaning people who have a life outside of an MMO?

Yeah, god forbid we get to have any fun.
