Saying "the mob is either attacking me or it's not" is a comment on aggro, not threat.

Threat is invisible.
Yay, an argument, FUN.

Player 1: Threat = ?
Player 2: Threat = ?
The player with the highest threat is the play which has agro on the mobs.
So....

Player 1: Threat = ?, no agro.
Player 2: Threat = ?, agro.

So...

Player 2 Threat > Player 1 Threat.

Player 1 knows their threat is < Player 2, but wants agro. It doesnt matter the difference in the numbers, it matters if one has agro or not. So player 2 slows down on DPS, player 1 picks it up.

The only argument can be is for a threat meter to watch out for taking over said agro from someone unintentionally. I believe this to be by design. A game of reaction as opposed to a game of numbers. This should be blatantly obvious going into the game; that is a lack of hard numbers provided to the players. I can only guess that the reason behind this is immersion. The game isnt hardcore enough at this point to require it. That is not to down your opinion of wanting it, as it is a valid point. But in such a game I don't think it fits. That is just my opinion.

Did you play WoW? It was definitely needed up until recently, when they gave tanks so much threat that the only way they could lose it was by stripping naked and running into a corner. See a previous post that I quoted earlier, about good DPS being able to ride the tank's a** on threat without pulling aggro. If all the DPS in WoW didn't know when to pull back, raids would've been nearly impossible.

To edit, I'm not talking about needing addons like Omen, just using the aggro percentages in-game on each mob.

You tanked Prince during the Burning Crusade without a threat meter?

You're lying.

Why do people need a stat to look at rather than playing the game?

Or could it be that you are so used to your 15 mods running everything that you forgot how to look around.

This is not the topic.

The question is why it's invisible, not if you like that or not. I'm not the least bit interested in the latter.
its invisible because you are meant to lose agro. You arent meant to know. Its part of the game. Why is that so hard to understand?

Its a game, you play for fun. Not an analysis report for you to play whack a mole with.

Hmm you make a claim then call me a liar. You are epic win.

Threat meters are so unnecessary in swtor, there are no 40 man raids against mobs so big that all you can see of them is their knee.

let go of the crutch tiny tim, you can walk all on your own now.
