I don't this will sink in, but it's supposed to tell you that credit farmers are doingitwrong
Yes, but in order to make that 120k an hour through your method, a human being needs to actually be PLAYING THE GAME.

Chest botting has the advantage of being able to run all day, every day, 24/7, without interruption (minus needing to empty the items when the character's inventory gets full, I mean).
"Skill" is the only PvP stat anyone should ever need.

I have seen a few of these on Correlia as well. Maybe the fix should be to put in a geometrically scaling aggro radius based on player level versus npc mob level. Also, locking chests against Republic/Empire would work as well. Chests in Imperial questing zones can only be looted by Empire Players and vice versa. Ideally a combination of the two would work best. Nothing will stop a low level player from traveling but they would be a beacon for mobs causing a level of frustration that would make it very difficult for their nefarious activities.

I made 320K credits yesterday. All space missions at 50; two lower level planets worth of H4 and H2+s and got some chests with 3-4K in each, which you can just open even if guarded by champs as they won't agro you. As well as about 30K from the junk. I didn't even do Ilum dailies. Money isn't hard to get.

Level 40 elites drop 500 credits a pop(ish), champs 1.5K(ish). They don't take long to kill.

Bioware also has in game metrics so they can actually see hot activity with a waypoint. So they KNOW there is a huge problem. Now we just need to know they know how to fix it. I'm not very optimistic though. They seem pretty much a fail right now on this.

While I hate the botters/hackers, I really don't see this as a big deal.

At level 50, you have more creds than things to spend them on. With dailies at 50 in less than 2 hours you can make over 120k, which is close to what these botters are making for the same time frame.

And no one buys things off of the GTN for the most part. The best gear is bind on pickup, and rewards from quests provide all the gear you need.

And before people start complaining how the "GTN will never get fixed","GTN will be inflated", "what's the point of crafting?"....well, I think that crafting will never be great in this game, as I think BW wants the game to be ALT heavy. What I mean is you will be rolling more than one character. This new(or several new) character(s) will have access to crafting as well. Between 4 alts, you will have more crafting options than you will ever need.

If the bots are hacking, then they should be banned on that basis. Not banned for opening a chest on a high level planet. That's Bioware's fault for not capping either the planet or the chest.

Also, I don't usually call people out, but it is more than possible to have enough creds to buy each speeder training. I have no idea how people are broke at 50. And this is coming from a guy who missed out on slicing profits by one day.

ticket since 01/25/2012 status : ignored , what else... biowarexpresso

so i handled it, like the sith i am...

i killed the foreman , looted the chest, flagged myself for pvp and waited ... the toon logged in exactly 7 minutes after the last chest (large chests 20 minutes /small chests 7 minutes) , saw me sitting there and was like "w00t" (see the chat) but wasn't smart enough to stop the macro, so his toon clicked the handsome sith in the corner ...

i could swear i heard something like : 'Killing you will be... -such- fun...'

http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...estfarmer2.jpg

oh btw he used the probe and just stood there again .... still pvp flagged just some seconds later, the force wasn't strong with this one

it was quite entertaining since the quest i actually came for was buggy (the needed questitems in this area were "already in use") ... but that is another sith legend.
I want you to know i find you very sexy....

So basically the hero engine is so bad....you can actually hack item levels and trick the server into creating the item for you, i.e. WHITE CRYSTAL.

Allowing level 7's to stand next to a mob of the same faction while they use an autoclicker to loot chests 24/7-/facepalm

And ignoring hundreds of reports (over 17 days) of this behavior and the guy only ever logs off during maintenance-/facepalm

Oh yeah and putting a medical droid 50 feet away from this chest so you can sell all of your greens and medpacks and never move more than 50 feet-/facepohIgiveup.
This is rubbish. You can't possibly get to Ilum as a level 7 because you can't even get off the starting planet till level 10. You cannot travel on someone elses ship until you have your own at lvl 16.

Yes you can, you can do only story quests. Level 7 is the actual level requirement to get to the fleet, once at the fleet there are NO level requirements.

Level X gold farmer groups with 3 of the same class and runs them all through the class quests. Hard I know right?

Bioware is just failing horribly at fixing this problem. If they aren't going to fix the problem, I'm going to stop giving them my money.
