You could spend hours designing toons in that game... *sigh*
APB Can afford to have all those customization options as the system doesn't have to render nearly as many players at one time, in fact it had such a low player base it shut its doors for almost a year before it was bought by another company.

Play the game. It's a game.

Or go play with barbies and dress them up or something.
Failure to enforce the naming policy on RP servers is one reason I'm semi-retired from TOR. It's a sign that BW doesn't care about quality.

I like how people defend all races having the exact same bodytype/posture in this game.

That's because all the player races are near-humans.

but if you were expecting character creation like in Star trek online or EVE online or APB. you're crazy.

EDIT: RIFTS character creator was pretty good to.
Why on earth do you think its better than AoC? The character creation in AoC is pretty damn good. Its well above most MMOs.
You get MUCH more customizaion compared to this game.

Stop trolling the EU. Fix the downtimes to the middle of the night and not in the middle of the morning / day.

Anyway, I think BioWare was pretty cheap when it came to the selected species for each side. They took the cookie-cutter route in the blandness of character creation. Every race is just one slight variation of a human. Most "options" are reused for almost every species. For example, the four male "body type" options are all the same:

1) scrawny, short "kid"
2) average height, build
3) tall, bodybuilder
4) or REALLY fat!

Can't have a husky guy? No, your choice is teenager, adult athlete, bodybuilder or couch potato.

The scars are all the same, as are the hair styles. Seriously, how stupid does a Zabrak or Sith look with a Justin Beiber hairstyle or that dumb-looking mohawk? Serious, cornrows? Are Sith Warriors gonna get a quest to go into a recording studio to perform "Juggernaut's Paradise" or "Straight Outta Korriban"? Give me a break!

I think there should be more variations that are species-specific. I like that the facial tattoos for the Mirialan, Rattataki, and the Zabraks are different. But the general build of the characters are all the same.

Here's an idea: try making original species that are unlike any of the others. Some species in the Star Wars galaxies would be awesome additions in a game like this. But, it seems too difficult to make anything actually "special". It's a shame when all the characters practically look the same.
Much of this was brought up in BETA testing but nothing was ever changed. So working as intended
Help me, Bio-Ware Support; you're my only hope.

Uhm I have no idea where you got that notion from... people who are quitting are quitting because the game still needs a lot of work and they're just impatient. Lol people quitting because they don't have enough customization choices?? I'm not even going to dignify that statement with further comment

Er, that's not accurate at all. APB social districts allow up to 200 players in the zone before creating a new instance, and up to 100 players in the action districts. Those population caps are very close to what SWTOR currently seems to allow.
According to James Ohlen, Game Director: "We're also going to be listening to the community, and seeing what they want to see in the game. We always are listening to the community; you are the people who decide what kind of changes we need to make to the game. Because this game is for you guys."
