Two. A pair of leggings and a pair of boots. Both of which I got in the very first champ bags I got. Thought I was one of the lucky ones. I didn't know how wrong I was.

Honestly, I've just come to terms with the fact that I'll probably never have any gear at all throughout my entire PvP career and I'm doing better with it. I've recently stopped purchasing champion bags with commendations, simply 'cause I was getting tired of just throwing 800 Warzone commendations away every 10-14 Warzones.

At the moment, I'm saving up for the 750/750 Speeder. When I hit valor 65 (no doubt with zero gear then, also), then I will save up for the 1000/1000 speeder.

I figure the constant adversity with me going against vastly overgeared opponents at every turn is making me a better PvPer anyway, so it works out.

That might just be because healers are less gear dependant. I'd hate to be a DPS or Tank in my situation. At least I'm expected to be squishy and not do any damage at all. I can still clutch heal with the best of them and I'm constantly getting tells to jump into premades with people.

It's still entertaining to me when people comment on my gear, though. It usually starts out as, "Holy crap, Violet, how about you start doing your dailies?" to which I tell them that I'm currently rank 53, usually a good 20-30 ranks above them, to which they usually respond with something akin to, "How is that even possible?!"

I think it's endearing and a testament to my PvP chops that I can still duke it out with the rest of them with inferior gear. :P
Valor rank is great and all but I wouldnt necessarily hang my hat on it and act like it some kinda indicator of PVP prowess. lol You could lose every single warzone match and still gain valor. just sayin...

Most people who defend this lame system are usually the types who have been burned the most, but instead of hoping for change for other players, they'd rather let everyone suffer as much as they did. That's a very selfish attitude. And IMO, THAT sounds more like a 10 year old.
According to folks like you the system is lame because you cant get the gear mere seconds after you ding 50. Its folks like you who want everything handed to you right away and then you will QQ about how it was too easy and everybody looks the same.

No it's only the bioware defense force that says people want gear handed to them. The actual PVPers just want a system with clearly defined rewards instead of RNG.

I can guarantee you most people would be happy with a system that took longer to gear up in than the current system if you could map it out and know WHEN you would get the next piece and be able to chose the slot you wanted. (i.e. not getting 7 relics and 6 gloves or getting a helm when you already have a columi helm but a green chest).

People just don't like the stupid bag system. Take your fanboy crap elsewhere.

Look at it like this. You go to McDonald's and order a #1 combo because you are hungry and your body needs food(although I truly wouldn't recommend McD's if you need nourishment). You spent your time driving 15 minutes to the McDonald's across town.

But when they bring out your #1 there is about a 10% chance that the bag will contain food and 1 packet of ketchup. There is also a 90% chance the bag will contain only 3 packets of ketchup and nothing else, EVEN though you spent your time and money getting here. Your first bag....3 packets of ketchup. So you drive 15 more minutes to the next McDonalds, and you get 3 packets of ketchup. 15 more minutes to the next McDonald's and all you get is 3 packets of ketchup.

I'm not asking for handouts either. I know what kind of work it takes to get great PvP gear, I did it in WoW, I understand. I expect to have to work hard to get the gear I want, it makes it all worthwhile in the end. I don't think ANYONE should be handed PvP gear, but that is exactly what is happening. I'm Valor rank 27 and I saw a guy that was Valor rank 21 with 4 Champion set pieces, Champion MH weapon, 2 Champ implants, and Champ earpiece. Clearly, the work he put in for the gear he got was not justified, you can't tell me that it was. He hasn't even played 100 PvP games yet and he's almost fully decked out, while I have played way more and have Champ boots and 1 Champ implant.

It's just wrong. Reward the people who deserve it, reward the people that actually have the Valor rank to match the gear they have.

I know I don't deserve much gear yet, I'm working on it. And getting 2 pieces out of 16 bags is reasonable, I'm not mad about that. But when some guy that has opened less bags than me and he has 8 pieces of Champ gear, now something is wrong.

The weekly and daily is the only chance to get BM bags..and then you fail them over..and over..and over. And its not only 1 commendation token, some pieces needs 3, so while those that did it before token patch got 3-4 armor and weapon pieces in one week, it will take you 2-3 weeks just to get your weapon with commendation tokens..

Take your "I want everything handed to me on a silver platter" crap some place else. Its folks like you that ruin games in general. If everything goes according to plan a month from now everyone will be fully geared battlemasters the moment they ding 50.

What makes you think he shouldn't?

Now, at Valor 50 or better yet, Valor 60, does the RNG system change? The bottom line is that he put in the time to get the bags. There is not a requirement for Champion items like there is for Battlemaster. If they came out and said that every player would get a token drop every 5th bag, I could agree with that, but it doesn't work that way. There is not a set system. If I am going to work toward something, I want to see results.

I got my first piece of tier set at Valor 49, having started my grind at 50. Very depressing system. At least with the battlemaster ones you don't have to worry about double ups. Still RNG, but at least their isn't two layers of it.

21 BM bags and only 2 tokens.... why other ppl have open less BM bags and have like 4 + pieces... this rng system needs to go!
