Its been stated time and time again Mythic's Dark Age of Camelot had hands down the best World PvP mechanics....

Now my question is with mythic taking part in somewhat of the PvP mechanics of SWTOR "Why dont we see some of the world pvp mechanics of Dark Age is it because of Patents? if so why is that an issue with the same companies rights owned and bought by EA?

1. A mechanic I don't think anyone can disagree with is Valor Reward scaling for Group Size currently you get around 180 valor per kill regardless of being in a 20 man op group and perhaps not even contributing to the kill.... "How hard is it to scale for grp size IE 4 man group should all get the full 180 valor per kill scale up to 8 man op should get 90 valor per kill a 16 man op 45 valor per kill ect ect. and by ect ect and by ect. ect. I mean 60 people in the area zerging 1 player at there spawn or 100 people intentionally farming valor by meeting mass quantities of the other faction and farming reward those players with 1-10 valor per kill to discourage this behavior and scale with the time it took me to get 60 valor through Warzones (Not Afking by the way).

2. I could go on on about mechanics they could pull from one of their previous games that made world pvp so good such as screw this new age MMO gear based pvp try to be like WoW more all you barbie doll dressing up virtual toons. I mean i get it if that is what pulls your whistle go for it, but PvP should have separate training for skills and abilities that apply to world PvP...Give us a world with multiple objectives that make sense and maybe benefit the faction as a whole...

3. Any ways Fail two thumbs down on this new improvements to pvp please try again thumbs up on the game over all though really smooth launch I would give the game a 9/10 overall but you got to stop catering for these PvE wow players so much. I get it, that's where a lot of your revenue is coming from please continue to release new PvE content, but please get an actual team of mythic pvp developers together and get this world pvp resolved i guarantee you the revenue they generate by keeping your pvp subscribers going will far out weigh their paychecks. In my opinion you are going to lose a high amount of your PvP player base cause this system just isn't working.

Interesting theory and post.

I also wonder why DAoC had the best pvp yet we are stuck with the **** we have now.
Without me, it's just aweso.
i7 950 @ 4.0ghz, ASUS X58 Saber mobo, 12gb RAM@1866mhz, 6970 LIGHTNING, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, BWU Keyboard, Razer Mamba, PC350s, XFX XXX 750w PSU.
This game desperately needs some sandbox elements. Repetitive grinding is not fun.

I didn't even realize how bad the issue was of large scale valor farming and the lack of discipline that is going along with it... how hard is it to listen to the player base by reading the countless tickets with names (when they can get to them) check the combat log see these people are making 30+k valor in an hour and give them a temporary ban of even 3 days would do something to show that they care about the pvp community... the long term benefits far out weigh the short term consequences. I feel for you guys on those servers and I'm sure you have already left them and that is one of the best things you can do as a player. Spread the word to all the lowbies on the server too and get them to a server where pvp is rewarding not given, really just desert the server now and hope to SWTOR that they don't allow server swaps soon, well that's my constructive criticism for the day (complaining but also suggesting ways around it.
