The problem with the WoW comparisons are that it's not 8 years ago, it's now. An MMO that comes out now has to compete with the current games, not what they were almost a decade ago.

ToR borrowed heavily from WoW, and that's fine.. but the problem is it did it in benign areas it didn't really need too, and then went off on it's on in areas it cleared had no clue about and SHOULD'VE copied WoW on.

Right now - pvp will sink this game, and it's a staple of play for a large chunk of MMOers. That being said, even the end game "raiding" content is unpolished and not all that impressive -- and I don't mean this from a quantatative standpoint, I just mean in terms of quality. The game right now is designed for Star War fans who want to level to 50 and then roll another class.. and honestly that will only support you for so long.

I have to think that if this was any other model than Star Wars, the game probably would have already lost a larger chunk of it's base (player numbers are anecdotally down from launch as is)-- but that franchise's fans are a tough bunch, and this is one of the few MMOs out that is not Tolkien based.

Comp and gear only take you so far. Once you reach high ratings, which by your post we all know you didn't, your opponents are also using solid comps and they all have the same gear as you do. The only thing left at that point is the skill of players. So sure, the bottom rung of the ladder can blame gear and comp imbalances on their inability to compete, but high rated players are indeed quite skilled.

I'm not a super fan of WoW, I quit shortly after Cata dropped and haven't looked back. It's a snoozefest for me, but that doesn't mean that I can't see that there are some glaring issues in this game, and primarily for me, the biggest is issue is that combat control is not tight enough. I agree with a lot of the things stated in the video, not everything, but a lot. I'm still going to be playing SWTOR, though, because I still find it fun, and I'm a sucker for the whole voiced questing deal.

Merc healers weren't nerfed. You're just raging because someone has issues with your game and they obviously have to have some personal deficiency to have the audacity to quit the game over things they find lacking when they feel they have a better alternative to spend their time on.

Knockbacks and be annoying, there are ways around it in huttball.

There are good animations, healing animations might be boring.

Really not worth anywhere close to 30 minutes of your time to watch.
