I think the game does have kind of an old school feel to it. Corpse Camping on Illum was so old school. I laughed so much watching the live streams.
Exactly my point..esp the sentinel class...at first wasnt easy but as i leveled i got it down pat and i love it which is why i said it has an old skool feel..as it wasnt easymode...many people cant play the class and are bashing it badly..but overall this game isnt difficult but many think is hard

"Easy to pick up, hard to master."

There's a reason only 12% of the active level cap population killed the top boss on regular last tier, hon.

Challenging? This game doesn't even require me to pay attention to what the enemy is doing. I recently dinged level 50... and EVERY single thing I've fought I just rolled over. I roll over elite mobs at level 50. Why do they even bother fighting back? They have no chance. They could spam their worst skills over and over and over... and it wouldn't even matter. All I have to do is show up for the pwnshow. I can't even name one single enemy ability through 50 levels.

But darnit... I remember 'bomb toss' in FFXI. /chills...

this game is so dumbed down to the point where i think a 5 year old could play it and be good at it.
I don't even have to watch, I can play blindfolded...

press... 8, 9, 6, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, until dead, rinse repeat.

Right, but that's sort of the intention in WoW. Game is older, everyone is at cap. hell, it's even at the end of an expansion.

From what I've heard raiding isn't particularly difficult in SWTOR, though.

For some classes yes for others no...I beat Darth Angral for exp on the first try with my sentinel but it wasnt easy...This game overall TO ME isnt hard at all..but look at all of the complaints of those who say it is..did u ever see this many people complaining in WOW forums about difficulty with leveling and quests? I havent..and by the way bomb toss sucked bug time lol

My point is some classes in this game have a learning curve for some its hard for some its easy..Some didnt have any problems at all..for those who play troopers or sages etc well of course its faceroll..but for those who play sents or guards ...maybe not so much..I was actually challenged with some of the major boss fights in quests and yes i died some times also...

But if u read the forums u see many many people who are having all sorts of problems leveling....

Right, and if you look at my posting history I'm actually a Jedi Sentinel with lots of info on trying to help others.

Is the class "difficult?" Yes and no. It breaks the rule of being easy to pick up and hard to master, which is my point. But, then, is also plays like a LOT like a BC era fury warrior before WoW decided built in healing was a good idea for the spec.

I'm not saying whether this is a good or bad thing, but honestly, it's just... familiar.

Think back everyone to the times of Eq1,Eq2&ff11.... Back to when in Eq1 you had to watch out for corpse stealers...Back whem dying happened all of the time..back in Eq2 when heroic mobs were everywhere and having a 2 million xp defecit and having 4 ghost shards scattered about to where u couldnt even kill a lvl 1 was common..

Whem eq2 first introduced pvp..and everyone went to the freeport side and thus the qeynos purge was started..anyone who dared brave stepping out of the qeynos gates was instantly butchered..and If by some lucky chance u made it to the gryphon oh my whem u reached the steppes station u met legions of freeporters..

And ff11 now that was good times...having to grouo from lvl 10-75... and facing two of the most feared and hated mobs in mmo history..goblin smithys and leechers...u habe the leecher down to min health.ur healer is out of mana and u "shout we got him!" only for him to pop off a cure and one by one he drops u..

Or in the kaz jungle when u hear someone shout "gob train inc!" You run around the been to hide withbur group and return only to see whole groups.dead..bodies scattered everywhere...whats this someone is still alive running for his life..But u know the outcome..the smithys beat down the poor lad and u hear that sound brings chills to,the hardiest warrior..the delevel sound.

So To the players who began their MMO exp with easy WoW understand that when we say Swtor isnt unplayable just has a learning curve so L2P its not to be rude...its.just cause we r already used to these types of games!
what you just said
