Disappointment at 50

It seems everyone has set such high expectations to an mmo that was only just recently released. Have perspective and look at how much content was released for max level on other succesful MMO's in their first quarter. not much.

Have faith that it will get better (hopefully sooner rather than later) and take a dose of patience. To believe this game was going to be well polished and loaded with content so early in its release is foolish.

To have a basis of comparison (sense we love comparing this game to WoW)...

World of warcraft released on november 23, 2004..

First content was released on december 18 in patch 1.2 introducing Marauden..

The first PvP system wasnt released until april of 05 (6months following release, Bg's were released 2 months later in June with WSG and AV, AB wasn't released until patch 1.7 in september of 05)
all of us that played during these days remembers how unpolished, buggy, and assbackwards it was at times.

I understand that WoW set a standard for MMO's and that SWTOR had to have step up in order to play. But they kinda did with what they have so far. the 1-50 content is pretty decent and one can only presume the quality of content, bug fixes, and ideas that bioware will implement in the next few months.

Anyway, either have patience and support a game that has great potential or quit the game, come back in a few months, and enjoy what will hopefully be a much more complete experiance.

A lot of people hate one WoW but I had the most fun I have ever had at endgame in vanilla WoW (got to endgame about a month after release maybe a little longer).

PvP ranking systems, decent world server, relatively balanced class system, awesome community, awesome world pvp hotspots, awesome gear rewarded for work done.

Work done, not a luck percentage. 27th bag and still nothing!!! HUZZAH!

do you actually read? there is no arguments in your complaints, there is not even a proper complaint, just some immature and rather emotional amount of text. you cant even comprehend simple logic that i used to illustrate your ignorance on that matter. now you are going down to personal insults level. this illustrates the whole situation perfectly.

edit
i just read your last post, about "end game month after release in vanilla WoW". the whole endgame was UBRS, you might have catch up with MC but that means you are from EU and you entered the game way after 1 month since the launch.
you are just one utter nonsense, pvp ranking was introduced almost a year after launch and rank 14 grind is probably the worst example of unfriendly design in mmo ever.

I am actually afraid that you will respond to this message since i doubt you are able to produce anything outside more personal insults and kindergarten level fallacies.
May be you just shouldnt respond at all, save your face.

Same thing happened to me last night after I got to 50. Thought about it and I am not really interested in trying to gear up at 50.

I'll just play soul calibur 5

people will dismiss it because it is what it is and whining about something they wont change is pointless. whether its to hard or too easy, or just right, well that depends on who you ask. i think if you got both sides complaining your somewhere in the middle which is where it needs to stay. so yeah i think its fine as is, not to hard and not to easy. this guy is just frustrated he'll get over it

Whether they are boring or not is up to personal taste, but running both Ilum and Belsavis only takes 1.5 hours easy when running with 3 of my guildmates. Out of that run I get an armor, enhancement, mod, and 24 daily comms plus 150k credits. That is totally worth the time. You get less reward off of a 2 hr hardmode FP run.

My suggestion here is the same that I have suggested in other threads. Find a fun guild to join. Grouping makes MMO's a lot more enjoyable.

Thirded.

I tried doing dailies and HC FPs but in the end... meh. What's worse is the fact that most classes end up looking like clowns when in a full PvP or PvE set so there's not even that reason to grind stuff at 50.

It's just bad luck. I don't need my champion gear, and refuse to pvp now that it's 50's only ...but I received a piece of gear every 4ish bags. I know people that went 15 bags with nothing.
