Different games are different.

Just like Apples and Spagetti are both food, but that's about the only thing they have in common.
I have seen your type posting in tech forums for a decade. You really have no idea what you are talking about, and like to give out advice such as "flash your BIOS" when at best that will fix an unrelated problem and at worse leave the person with a dead board.

Please explain how other MMOs are able to achieve much larger scale battles with at least as much model diversity across common hardware. Dig a little deeper and you will find that there really isn't a huge variety of models in this game. With your logic the game should run silky smooth in a 20vs20 of battlemaster geared players because they are using at most something around 16 models for armor and weapons. By all means though, continue to try and sound like you know something. I'm sure someone is impressed.

I dont browse anything on my windows install. Ever.

It is used only for playing games. The on ly thing that ever gets downloaded are driver updates and games themselves.

Im not even posting this from Windows.

Better be careful - that cold breeze you feel is your ignorance showing.
Death wish did not break fear until it got buffed and it did not break seduce by succubus.

If you would have played vanilla you would have known this. So it is safe to assume you did not play until Lich King because in TBC warlocks could drain tank warriors even with recklessness up.

I find your lack of knowledge about WoW disturbing.

Who really cares what this poor sod thinks?

This 30 minute praddle about his personal opinions is nothing but a exercise of feeling that he is someone we should listen to. He can't even structure a cohesive presentation.

This thing would make a great drinking game for every time he says the word "awesome" and "Zurg-fest"

He says he gave the game all he could because he had a subscription for 6 weeks. Translation, he used up all the free playtime and the Early Access, now he wants to go back to WoW.

This is just one less 'toon clogging the server in my opinion, I doubt we will notice the absence.

The Phenom thing is flat confirmed. There's a whole thread about it here, over at tomshardware, and other places. Three members of my guild with phenoms had this problem, and all three of them cleared it up by disabling this "feature".

Primarily because other games use different loading models for large numbers of players, have significantly different levels of detail (the oft-loved "AION IS SO PRETTAH" - yeah, those models are about 1/4 the detail, very low poly.. just covered in glowing crap to cover it up).

Funny, i was going to say the same thing to you.

The game still loads their models, because people dont always show their head/not, can remove gear/etc. And it loads them on-demand, (though this is a moot issue for a Warzone) not all at once beforehand.

Two serious, known issues that no one wants to address because of course THEIR ultra-awesome-gaming-rig-that-runs-an-fps-great (with a 45$ budget CPU, no less) and cant be the problem:

The Phenom "TLB fix" - known, confirmed, and fixable

early-series Core iX processors (Nehalem, in particular) throttle themselves at REALLY low temps, gutting performance.

My wife's machine (my hand me down) had this issue. Downloaded Throttlestop (unfortunately only works on intel machines) and the problem is solved.

Keep on trollin, though.

now i know you're trolling. And badly.

you're provably wrong about Deathwish.

you're probably thinking about this:

"Patch 1.6.0 (2005-07-12): Is now usable while under a Fear effect, which will also remove the Fear effect."

Problem is.. it ALWAYS made you immune to fear. Until patch 1.6, you couldn't BREAK fear with it, but it would make you immune if you popped it first.

Considering it's duration, all you had to do was pop it and kill the warlock while you were immune to his CC.. for 30 seconds.

And junior? You couldnt seduce-nuke as affliction (that was a destro one trick pony), and you couldnt drain-tank as destro (hell, you couldnt drain tan k at all in Vanilla - those 200 damage ticks with no pushback protection were PIMPIN).

Keep on trollin though. (i know, those 31/31/31 warlocks were beasts!)
