The point is you are hoping RNG will drop something better then what you have on so you can finish the FP instead of waiting untill you have gear that CAN finish the FP before you ever try to run it.

Which is fine if that is how you enjoy playing, but why is it ok for you to play that way yet its not ok for someone else not play that way and already be geared up and only run the FP for looks or companions?

But not 'everyone' feels they are entitled to all the loot. But you do.

The difference is that orange gear brings a whole host of other items with it that go far beyond appearance and that rolling based on the aspect of how it looks while ignoring a legitimate practical use is 'wrong'.
How is it wrong?

Player A sees the item and rolls need.
Player B sees the item and rolls need.

Player A wins.
Player B loses.

Each got an entitlement to roll. They both rolled as they chose to. What more do you want?
What is that baseball bat in your signature? Oh! It's a lightsaber! How cute is that !

Yeah, I think level 50 gear would be better than level 35 gear I still have when you do Hard Modes.

Again, incorrect. I said I'm entitled to roll how I choose. I said you have no business in how I choose to roll.

So you're in the "it doesn't matter" column eh?

That in itself says a lot.

This one is easy. I brought it up once before. People pay for the privilege to play this game. You pay, I pay, everyone pays to be able to play. But the thing is, we don't pay to have you tell us what is fun. We don't pay to have you tell us we cannot play the way we like, because you say it is wrong. Yes groups should co-operate otherwise nothing gets done, but the problem many are still having is placing the onus of speaking up on the people adhering to the system BioWare has in place.

That system is agnostic to all your morals, all your opinions and all your beliefs on how the loot should be distributed. And there is nothing wrong with that. But here's the thing, it's different, when was the last time someone who was ok with something actually spoke up and said something about it? Not often, because they have no complaints or issues. You however do, so you speak up. You can have your "unwritten" rules all you want, but again, not everyone knows about or even accepts those "unwritten" rules.

And seriously, for the last time, we are NOT advocating people rolling on everything that can hit need for. How is it that difficult to understand that?! The problem is you place stats a higher priority, while someone may place looks over priority. Now you say they are wrong to need for that, but the game gives them the right to, they PAY for the privilege to do so, YOU want to tell them "no" then YOU speak up beforehand.

That's kinda the point, everyone has a different definition of need, no one is more valid then the other. So all being equal to roll for their needs is the simplest and best approach.

BTW, sorry for jumping in, but you're a reasonable conservationist so I thought it would be ok.

So I assume you're in the 'you will pass to me if I say need it more than you' column?
