ok right seriously when you upgraded did it say scalable mount? NO it said: STAP (In-Game Vehicle): Sleek and unique in-game vehicle. so can I ask why would you automaticly think oh that scales with your riding skill....

It doesn't because that would give you an advantage with credits on those that cant afford or dont want to get this.... skill 1 40k mount is 8k! thats nothing.... skill 2 210k then mounts of that skill is 25K to 55K thats a whole lot of creds.... compared to 8k then skill 3 is 330k and mounts are 55K to 1.5mil.... you do the maths.... its not fair so thats why.

Given that it doesn't state what speed it goes at all, why would you "automaticly" assume it was a 60% mount?

The fundamental problem here, of course, is that we really weren't told squat about the items before launch and foolishly assumed they'd actually, you know, be fun fluff rather than crap so useless you delete it at level 10 because it's not worth the storage space.

But, to answer your question, the reason a lot of people assumed it would scale is because mounts have been scaling in a number of modern MMOs for some time now. As with assuming the fluff stuff would actually be fun, they assumed TOR would have most of the features and amenities that have become common in modern MMOs.

Bad assumption, granted, but an understandable one.

Dude, we get access to the biggest boat of a mount in the game at lvl 50. You'll be trollin' lowbies trying to access a quest giver better than anyone else in no time, just start saving your 1.5 million.

I got a speeder I used for a long time. I agree maybe they should have had it scale as now it is useless (I bought a new, faster speeder).

I'm not that concerned though...I'll always have my holo dancer.

And on top of the necro he ignored the intent of the thread, the STAP now does scale with the speeder piloting of it's owner. I am once again cruising the game on my collector's edition STAP.

The flare gun is fun for a few tries as well as the dancer. Holocam is useless as well as the training droid. The color crystal is absolutely useless and ugly; well done on that.

I JUST hit 40 and found out that the cool mount that we get from this Edition does NOT SCALE. It is stuck at 90% You do not increase to 100% as soon as you buy level 40 speeder training.

I am horribly disappointed Bioware.
Mount (Longspur STAP) is scalable it is written on it and even after collections it is most used one on my chars that wear robes.
But it scales with your speeder piloting rank, not with your level... so go and train SP2.
(Via legacy SP2 is available on lvl. 25 - and it is working with STAP)
Camera is best tool for scenery/player/companion SC - removes interface when used.
Gun & dancer are for those moments you have to wait something.
Training droid is somehow useless - it had to be done to stick over companion/friendly player not over enemy... or simply be a pet.
But most of all DDE & Collector editions are way to support the game, not P2W (Pay 2 be ELITE).

You slipped on the forum banana peel commonly known as "thread necro".

And in this case, it was thread_necro_asaurus_rex. In other words.... massive and carnivorous!
