There are more to games than polygons and fill rate.

To the OP, glad you straightened out your performance issues. Running an i7 here, though with out any overclocking, game runs like a champ.
Good deal, thats just another person added to the list running a newer processor thats NOT having any issues, I guess my point is even tho bioware says that minimum requirements to run the game is a dual core doesn't mean that the game will run at 60fps.

As indicated by the November patch updates, here are the recommended system requirements:

OS: Windows 7 64bit SP1

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.4GHz or better AMD Phenom 2 X4 Quad-core 2.5GHz or better

RAM: 4GB RAM or higher

Video: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 4850 or better NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or better 512MB minimum video RAM Shader 3.0 or better fully compatible graphics card Latest drivers for your video card

DVD-ROM Drive: 8x speed or faster

Disk Space Required: 30 GB

minimum, recommended, and optimal requirements are just that... minimum to get the game going and so you can play at your 10fps, recommended usually gets you by the game at its normalcy of 30fps and below on high population, and optimal for 30+++ fps, all you people complaining about having at least minimum requirements are barking up the wrong tree. your pc is just that... MINIMUM

I am going to upgrade my system as well, but not for this game.
Upgrading it to play Diablo3 on all max settings.

As for SWTOR - the game visuals are nowhere near the system specifications required to play it with normal FPS.

Whatever the praise and explanations on the poorly coded both graphics and game engine from the fanboys is I dont care much really.

Could you please post some screenshots ?
You are not your rig specs. You are not your K/D ratio. You are not your character level. You are not your sig.

Oh yeah, we don't want them to make a game that we might play for the next ten years and have decent graphics. We want to be able to play this game with WoW graphics on computers that are 5-10 years old now. /s

Come on people, this is supposed to be a game that they (and I) hope we will be playing for years to come. I would much rather have them build the framework for advanced graphics now, then have to re-write the game years later just so they can keep up with the graphics of the time. Investment people, thats what this is. And if nothing else, you get yourself a decent machine that doesn't feel like a snail.

If a game gives 80 fps, fraps will show 40. It's ok, I've made videos of WoW raiding in 25ppl raids for 20-30 fps at ultra. So videos will do nicely.
