Bioware make Gearing Harder

For me this is game breaking issue and it pretty much killed the game for me. There is really "nothing" for me to do at 50.

I pvped a bit, got to like 52 valor and I am full champion with 3 nearly complete sets. I can own people easily now with my Shadow, why would I grind for Battlemaster? No need....

I pved a bit, got myself some pve gear. In combination with my pvp gear I can do a lot of damage and finish any hardmode/operation. Why would I do more?

Rolling alt? Hmm, leveling and story is fun, but then I think about - "What I will do when the alt hits 50?" "Run two raids?"

This is the first mmo when I feel like I "finished" the game. Yes I could get slightly better gear with mod min/maxing but why would I when there is no need? The game is so easy, you dont have to get the best gear to beat it.

And this is it. The lack of motivation. There is nothing challenging in this game. And if there is, you brutally overgear it before you get to it.

Most likely cause they realize about only 10% of mmo players truly dedicate themself to the typical endgame grind.

Currently I am the only 50 in my guild and am waiting for the rest of em to get there to start the endgame and considering what you are saying, I am happy to hear that it doesnt require a constant repetitive grind to get gear.

Every mmo I play i tend to get burnt out on endgame by the time im almost done gearing my main or I actually do gear him. I never want to run my alts through endgame. Sounds to me like I may finally have a chance to do that with alts in this game which works out well considering I want to enjoy every class story.

I also think there may be some additions soon to crafting and changes with the modding system that will change things up a bit.
You call running Eternity Vault Twice "endgame grind"?

If you didn't read or can't comprehend what's being discussed I can see how you would come up with that conclusion.

I'm noticing that there are a lot of players complaining about the ease of gearing. It has been suggested that you can delete the gear, or simply not roll for it. What I'm not seeing is anyone who has already their gear "so easily" offer to give it up and start over when gearing becomes harder. I highly doubt that anyone who is geared already would be ok with Bioware taking their gear away since it was obtained "too easily" and having to "work harder to re-gear", even though that would provide the reason to keep playing for which so many are asking.

So, once again, this sounds an awful lot like "I got mine, now make it harder for everyone else."

This game is amazing, but its not going to hold people when you can be done with a 50 3 days after you hit 50.

Cmon Bioware I love this game, stop making bad choices and increasing my chance of losing it.
Translation: I got my gear and now I want Bioware to hold back the people who are behind me!

Again, people play game for different reason. Not everyone is here to make a splash in the MMO history.
If this opinion is anything other than an extreme minority, this game is in trouble. If more than a small minority are looking for a Carebear/Hello Kitty easy experience, the game is done for. As soon as it gets a rep for being insanely easy people will leave, gaming sites will be rife with that mentality and it will become a laughingstock. Most gamers do not want to be associated with a game that people consider too easy. That rep will kill the game.

I am sure you feel the way you described. I have no doubt that motivate you. At the same time, I am playing the game differently. I do all crew skills. I do that in all MMOs. I am sure it will take me months to gather all the materials to discover all the possible schematics. That is probably not your motivation. Just like end game gears is not mine.

Therefore, making me run raid non-stop to gear up will kill the game for me.

Again, I encourage the people who are not actually at level 50 yet to have an open mind.

Your "prediction" about how hard the game is at endgame is not as valid as our actual experience with the endgame content.

I dont want the game to die, i dont want to quit. I want Bioware to make some ball busting endgame content that you as a casual gamer are not required to experience, that way everyone is happy.

TBH if it was up to me, id say they should make the endgame raids randomly generated hardmode content, then it would be different every time.

I LOVE working with my raid group as a team.

Running Eternity vault when the entire team is wearing half champ gear and half columni is just a joke. Its literally tank and spank over and over.

Casuals expect ~1 epic per hour of game time, so that in the event that they only have one hour to play in a given week, they still get their token epic.

They also expect the entire game to be brought down to the level of challenge their limited or unfocused playtime allows for.

One really wonders why they're not playing a single player RPG while on voicechat, though based on the opinions of casual SWTOR fans, I'm inclined to believe television is more their speed.

I think these forums will be very interesting in a month or two, when large numbers of casuals have finally exhausted the content they've slowly plodded through. I can't see them staying for the long-haul once the last cutscene ends.

Harder and more engaging are two separate things; the OP says harder, but he really means more engaging. SWTOR's gearing progression is neither difficult nor engaging.

When you hit level 50, you can send 5 of your 6 companions on missions.

I went 1-400 on slicing in one day. I wonder how fast i will finish bioanalysis now that i realized its the only crew skill you can actually use for anything.

Again, you proved you have no actually raided.

You dont get the option to "not roll for it". The game just puts it in your inventory. Period. Even if the other guy needs it.

If you are a shadow, you get shadow gear.
