Disappointment at 50

They made the better mmo already: DCU Online. Its more then a year since 1st release, lot of polish and balance done. Well worth time playing. Its very cool also. Every class can use all weapons, characters can look the way you want without penalties. Travel speed is amazing (superman). Instances are fun and you need skill to triumph it. Etc etc.. F2p and sadly enough very underrated.

I love how PvP players complain about a loot system that has been in place for PvE players for years.

I love how ppl complain over gear period. "My epeen is to small".

You don't. If you run all of the dailies, including the heroics, you should be ready for hardmodes in 5 days. You can run normal mode raids as a brand new 50 and get columi gear if you have skill. Many people don't realize that HM's are designed to be much harder than normal mode raids. The enrage timers in HM's are tuned for well geared players while enrage timers in normal mode raids are not.

I roll on a PvE server where no one interrupts daily runs, but even then it shouldn't be a problem if you group up with 3 other players. It would seem to me that the OP should consider rolling on a PvE server or joining a guild to have people to run with. You can knock out all of the Ilum and Belsavis dailies in 1.5 hours with a group of 4, and then run an HM if you have time afterwards. All you need is 8 to run EV normal mode. Once you get into raiding and HM's you will find that you have much more to do.

I got level 50 on my Trooper yesterday night and im already at the "this kinda sucks" stage.

The idea of doing dailies every day for a few odd bits doesnt appeal at all. Neither does sitting in fleet for ages trying to get a group together.

So i thought id try some PvP. It has literally taken me all day on Republic side to get 3 wins for the bag, in which i got 3 commendations.

I have grinded about 4-5 bags and got an earpiece and thats it.

PvP is not fun Republic side when you constantly get slaughtered AND lose practically every single match.

If the main thing to do at 50 is reroll an alt then i wont be renewing my sub next month.

Atleast if we had a LFD system in we could quest and stuff while waiting for dungeons to pop instead of just sitting spamming chat. Sorry but balls to the community crap people spout for not having one. We practically have WoWs community anyway so why not give us WoWs tools?

I just want to play, get my stuff and feel like i achieved something in a day instead of turning the game off in disgust like i have tonight.

I hit 50 recently. I loved the levelling experience - it was sublime. However the game changed once I entered the end game. And not for the better.

Ilum is a joke. A complete waste of my precious time. Why would I bother entering the PvP side - there are only ever 10-15 Republic there at any given time. And 2-4 of those are low levels levelling slicing. Getting dailies/weeklies done would be a disastrous misadventure in masochism.

The PvE dailies on Ilum and Belsavis are also terribly boring and take far longer then their rewards entail.

Ok, so scratch Ilum off the list - at least Belsavis is a cool planet with a great design, so it's far less painful to be there.

As far as PvP in general - I am on Darth Scion, and I will do literally dozens to WZ's before I win one. Thus - gearing up for PvP is a terribly frustrating grind. We get slaughtered by well geared Imps who just get more wins/valour/commendations/gear by creaming our sorry asses. This seems like a self-sustaining cycle of getting the dominate faction geared and keeping the lower-population faction under-geared.

And who conceived this abortion known as Champion Bags?!? What a frustrating way to gear up.

Someone broke it down - to get your MH weapon in WoW would take approximately 5 hours of farming BG's. Seems reasonable. That's just the low quality weapon. Equivalent to Centurion gear. To do the same in SWTOR assuming no MH weapon tokens were acquired through bags, it would take approximately 68 hours. That's over ten times as long! For a single piece!

Now, there are lots of variables in the above example - many assumptions. None-the-less, it's absurd.

I wanted to have a well balanced end-game experience in SWTOR. I wanted to be able to enjoy the 3 pillars of MMO endgame - PvE/PvP/Dailies. As of now, I feel that I can still PvE, I am wasting my time if I PvP, and I am bored to death if I do what dailies are even possible.

Do better Biowear - or you're gonna see lots of people who reach 50 and get disenfranchised. We don't want hand outs. We want control over how we gear up. How we play. We want to enjoy ALL aspects of this game.

Until you fix 1. Faction Imbalance and the Ilum catastrophe, 2. Giving players more control gearing up for PvP and making it less random, 3. Making dailies less tedious and more engaging I'll be playing other games, and spending my time doing other things.

The core of this game is great. It deserves better.

I might question if something could be "extremely" flawed...but I will take the bait, and give you a non-cliff notes version...

Make a choice. Or dont, which in itself is a choice. Do not complain about the choices you make, or the fact that others have the same ability to choose. You seem too intelligent to not understand, unlike me, I am an idiot obviously. Play or do not play. Very complex hmm?

Besides - inductive logic only applies where you are building evidence with deductive logic to less than certain inferences. Last I checked, it is a fact that you have a choice. Seems pretty certain to me. We arent tryng to prove through inductive logic that the sun will rise tomorrow, just so we can take a whiz on Hume. We are talking about choice, your choice.

But this basement is getting cold, and I want some pie. Maybe some sun.
