Is TOR a good game? HELP new mmo player.

Forum posters make up a very small percentage of the player base. And that small percentage tends to be negative on the forums because people usually only voice their opinions when they are upset about something. Almost all mmos have this constant complaining about things on the forums, whether the game is new or not. The last mmo I played, Eve Online, is an excellent example of this. I never played WoW, but imagine it was similar there too because most people that came to play swtor came from WoW.

It's got flaws, but its a good game. If you are enjoying, it, don't worry what other people are saying.

I was just joking a bit with my son about how WoW's forums were when the game released. About 10-15 days in came the first posts from the first level 60s about how the game was "fail", about how it was "world of easycraft" and about how boring it was at level 60 and how the game would be empty within 2-3 months once everyone had level capped, and so on.

It's literally like this in the forums of every. single. game.

Even the most popular one in history had this on it forums.

Coming from someone who was there, it was nothing at all like what you described and it took far, far longer for the majority of the playerbase to hit max level.

Actually he's not. I played WoW from beta phase 2 - shortly after cata launched. I experienced the EXACT same thing he did. Nice try though.
