FIX for "The username, password, or security key you've entered is incorrect."

I've been getting this issue for several days now. I *KNEW* the username and password I was entering were correct, because I can log into the website at will. Customer service actually REMOVED the security key from my account so I know that was not the issue.
I spent SEVERAL hours on the phone with customer service to no avail.
But a fellow player in another thread showed me the light of how to workaround this issue.
I will quote this player directly here.

Make sure you delete the file AND run a FixLauncher.
You may have to do this every time you want to log in again.
But this is a much better work around than having to uninstall and reinstall every time.


Just proves that if your having a technical issue, trolling the CS forum until you are somebody else comes up with a solution can be as productive as waiting for CS to find your ticket in the pile.

Forum Moderators, please be aware that I will shamelessly bump this post in an effort to help others who may be experiencing the same issues.

Dont bump it every 30 mins. Leave it for a few hours or link to it in threads where people have the issue. Bumping the post without any substance is frowned up on by the mods.

I guess they could just do a forum search now that that works again tho.

Also, if you wouldn't mind renegadeimp, would it be okay if you posted this bug workaround in your ultimate bug list? I think that is a very good resource for players that you maintain, and I wouldn't feel the need to keep this bumped as much. If I can assist u in anyway setting that up please PM me or respond in this thread.
