In Huttball and Voidstar, why in god's name do you not put a timer indicating how long until it next opens?

Did you think we wouldn't want to know? Did you think it's better to just autorun into it for ? seconds?

The circle in the door has four quadrants. At the start of the lockout all four areas are bright white and the upper left starts pulsing. Then it drops off and the lower left pulses, and it drops off... etc. Until all four drop off and the shield drops.

There is a timer, it's just not Digital

So the OP didn't noticed the graphic timer on the door. Most people probably didn't either. Can't blame the OP for that.

Its like blaming the customer for not reading the small fine print you need a maginfying glass to read. Bioware didn't make the timer obvious, so its not OP's fault.

Im not sure how more obvious it could be without a neon sign pointing to it saying what it is.... so you mean to tell me while people are stuck in base wondering why the invisible wall is up they dont notice the animation of the circle that just happens to take away the wall on the very same pattern everytime?

Granted, It doesn't surprise me people dont notice, im sure these are the same people who sit around the ball on huttball without realizing to pick it up. Or cant take a hint from the announcer when the ball has been reset or just in general fighting 200m away from the action oh and running though the fire and dying with the ball...for the 3rd time.

Except this time the small fine print is a big circular white timer in the middle of the door. I think I figured this out around lvl 11.

This thread reminds me of a funny story. For awhile when the game starts, the republic had no timer or large text saying the game to start. The door opens but nobody knew and the imperials would just run to our door and cap.

The graphic timer is pretty much unnoticible. But in this case, it doesn't matter because everyone just autorun and don't care how much timer is left anyways. If you think the graphical timer on the door is 'very noticible', then you need to rethinkin the definition.

EDIT: After re-reading my post, I realized what i meant to say, noticible as a 'timer'. We all can see the big circle but just don't realize there's a timer aspect for it.

Yes, I want a digital timer.

I want to be able to see how long it is until the next respawn wave hit so people know how long to hold out for.

"That other game" told you in numbers.
