Why doesn't Bioware standardize classes when possible?

Don't get mad, but SWG had 8 years to work on this. From my recollection Jedi, and all other classes to include commando, bounty hunter, smuggler, medic, officer, and spy had equivalent armor rating. I think it was 6500. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Bioware needs to make all armor at level 50 have the same rating. Commandos and bounty hunters could add a kinetic and energy increase to there armor through the talent tree. Plus there was like 3750 energy and 3750 kinetic entertainer buff available to everyone.

I know bounty hunters had shields with a 180 sec cooldown. I don't recall how long it lasted when you popped shields. I believe shields mitigated 99% of base damage reduction, decays 1% per hit, increases base damage 1% per hit.

Medics of course had uber heals, and in pvp had targets on their backs. They were the first to be taken out. Being a medic was real stressful, especially in instances (flashpoints).

Also, in 2008 there was upwards of 5 piece jewelry for each class. That's when things got really contentious, and also real fun. Lot of griping about those uber abilites. 100% snare that could not be dispelled by any means with the 5 piece rogue set for smugglers.

All I'm saying is if you take something away for classes in SWTOR, you'll probably have to replace it with something else in terms of offense, or defense. I think they modeled their system after WoW to some extent, but I don't recall WoW having numerous ranks for their abilities.
