Yes, if smuggle can be tweked i can take my party with me, but 15 second of combat stealth isn't so useful, and with 3 minutes cooldonw (2min in dirty fight) is less than useful.

The smuggler ac scoundrel, is the less played, the more nerfed and the more difficult class to play, but is the more loved by bioware when is time to play "Nerf it!" Roll a scoundrel, become a nerfball.

Jedi shadows have it the same pal, apart from our burst damage isn't as good as yours, should we get a buff to have an insane opener as well?

I liken current OP burst combo to the "Nerf Bat" missile the GM's use in eve online (yes its an actual item in game)

because spamming dots and dealing consistant damage to someone we often do not kill is completely differant from 2-3 shotting someone inside of a couple of seconds. Lets compare damage a sorc can do...

dots
Force Lightning 600-800 damage
Affliction:500-600 damage
Crushing darkness: 200-300 initial, 300-600 damage

thats all over X seconds i am thinking 18 or 20 seconds so each tick does maybe 3k damage?

chain lightning: 2-2.5k and 3-4k crits

now lets compare that to a op/scoundrel

Opener:5-6k damage
Backstab: 4-5k damage
Basic strike: 2-3k

so in course of 3 attacks you do about double damage of a sorc problem wasnt that you did a lot of damage it was how much you could do in course of time alotted. On top of this you have a 4 second stun, a 3 second stun opener, and a blind grenade and vanish to! so question becomes this...

is it fun to die before you can even press the CC break? no...no its not.

How is Tracer Missle Garbage? Arsenal Mercs must shoot it 3 times anyways to drop your armor and stack the buffs before we unload/rail shot/flamethrower/heat-seeker.

Healers don't have a lot of HP to begin with. So either get better gear to boost your endurance/health or stop whining about actually using our class.


I agree people that spam ONLY tracer missles need to learn how to play their class. If all I do is spam TM then I'm a bad BH.

If you're getting killed by TMs, then use YOUR stun abilities/interrupts to stop it.

And Ops getting nerfed is a good thing. I also agree with the previous posters who say it's not just the damage, but the damage + stealth that is the problem.
Thank god I'm an Arsenal DPS and not a Bodyguard healer. Patch 1.2 is going to make them worthless.

Listen mate, you can pretend you're squishy, you aren't. EVERYONE who is focused on is squishy. The highest DPS on any team is (almost) always a scoundrel or OP and chances are it's twice the second highest DPS.

you can kite and knokback people, we can't, you can force sprint and go away, or close gaps we can't you can go in tank stance and try tu survive more, we cant.

Dont even dare to insinuate Sorcerors/Sages are op.

They are the major part of the population, their word is set in stone as soon as it comes out of their mouths.

They are the mesiahs that shows us the path the game should take.

And they ordered Bioware to nerfs Operativess because if the Operative crits 3 times in a row they might have a chance at killing them, which of course its wrongly designed since Sorcerors/Sages should not die to anyone.

Assasins and shadows get a lot of respect, they give *skilled* players a hell of a hard time and I find some of my best battles are against sorcs and sins...Always a nailbiter IF the player on the other end is good, unfortunatly the decider for a BH is usually that we run out of heat resources in prolonged fights, so its about a 35 second fight HOPING for a nice crit chain to do enough dmg to spike through the assassins onslaught.

Currently its obvious when the assassin/shadow is a skilled player and when they arent...

The good ones pretty much win 70% of their fights against all classes... but they do so with *skill* by properly timing their interrupts and burst over fights that typically last 15-20seconds.


Operatives and smugs however dont yet know what it is to need to *time* their skills and mesure their resources, because their opener is so strong the fight becomes a forgone conclusion.

Right now the skill level required for operatives to be effective is nowhere near as high as it is for *every* other class.

1.1.1 should see that balance restored and operative will discover they have 7-8 other skills which they havnt needed to use before now.
