i don't know, i've been playing my marauder a lot lately, he's level 37. huttball, first guys i go after when following the BC, sorcs. they die faster than most classes. even with the shields. i'm not even that good and i can take out most sorcs. they aren't all that scary.

Frankly I'm beginning to think people are cherry picking on this subject considering I have yet to run into these extreme numbers myself, though I did have a warzone where it was all Sith Warrior types.

Hell, no one shows how many of those inquisitors are assassins and you don't see many assassin complaints here.

I haven't seen any math in this thread...so...I'm not sure how that saying applies. I would be genuinely curious to see your videos, then it could be more than you just saying 2 sorcs beat 3 of you, and people could actually see for themselves if all of these claims are legit.

Just did some open world PVP on Ilum (which was basically getting camped by 10 imps against our 2 reps). Of those 10 imps, 8 were sorcs. Just saying.

I'm not sure what this proves? Are you saying there are a lot of sorcs because they're all FotM rerolls. Or that everyone who played Beta picked Sorc? I think a lot of people play sorc/sage simply because it's the only true caster class. That was my reasoning for picking it. I can't be alone in that. 1 month in just seems early to be calling anyone at level 50 a FotM. Obviously there are people out there, but I can't imagine the number of people with TWO level 50's at this point is very high.

Either there are very select servers with this issue if this is consistant, or there's some serious exaggeration issues. I just know I've been called sorc on my assassin a few times already...

This combination does 7,750 damage, it is mitigated by armor. (Granted, Precision grants me 100% armor penetration)

It requires me to be in melee range.

Before someone says, "Well Watchman can do..." let me say this:

I don't care. I'm not Watchman specced. I am Combat specced.

You can do, in 9 seconds, 8,400 damage.

From range.

Yes, you are over powered.
I'm combat specced too, 11% expertise. My order is

Leap (+4 focus)
Blade Rush
Blade Storm (auto crits)
Zealous Strike
Precision Slash
Master Strike
Saber Throw? (if they're a healing class or getting heals)
Dispatch? (Depends on their health, obviously)

Maybe throw a kick in there after the Zealous strike if they're casting something. If I already had focus sometimes it's often to just run in instead of leaping to close....

This is assuming:

1. None of these abilities has a delay or stutter bug that causes them to be delayed, do nothing, or the best of all - trip the gcd AND do nothing. Force Kick in particular seems to love to consume or reset the GCD when you use it, despite being OFF the GCD.

2. Target doesn't move out of melee range and game lags, causing ability to return a "you must be facing the target/target must be in melee range" error as the target teleports. 62 ms ping in warzones my ***.

3. Enemy doesn't use 1 of 673 CCs. Order of severity of how badly they screw you:

Stun
Knockback + Root (What was Bioware smoking when they paired these properties?)
Root (IGNORES RESOLVE)
Mez
Knockback
Grappled by someone else
Snare + Run away

Then yeah, I'll deal maybe 10k damage if stuff crits. Works great unless someone targets you.

I do something similar if I can Force Leap in, usually I want to save that to counter the knock back.

You can increase your damage by using precision slash before the Blade Storm because an auto-crit Blade Storm off of Blade Rush can do almost 3,000 damage. I tend to lead in with Crippling Strike (aka Saber Throw) after the Blade Storm too if facing a healer, it rarely works.

Dispatch is a must when a target is vulnerable to it.

I prefer to do the Blade Rush first so the Zealous Strike and Precision Slash have higher chance of Ataru procs. Blade Storm's autocrit still does a lot. If you do your order you also miss out on the armor penetration on the third hit of the master strike. All in all I think it does slightly more my way. If Bioware wasn't afraid to move into the 21st century of MMOs I could use a combat log and do testing to see how much Ataru strikes are really doing. Other than the Blade Storm and Dispatch I just see numbers flying everywhere.

lol seriously people like you make me sick.

Sorcs have plenty of weaknesses and some of what you listed is also advantages for other classes.

Light armor - without the bubble we die in seconds
we dont have stealth
we cant vanish
In dps specs our healing is terrible
