This is the case in real life as well.
As an employ of the US Military, I don't think I've done 1 mission (about 65 real life missions) where one of the objectives quoted above wasn't THE objective.
And as stated above, it's the "Why?" that makes SWTOR interesting.

In 7 years of WoW and 4 capped characters, I think I read all of 10% of the "Why?".
I just clicked until the quest tracker populated and "Charlie Miked".

I have played 24/7 every day since release 40 odd days about 500+ hours or however much you can imagine, is irrelevant.

So I hear a lot about the reason crafting, endgame and pvp gearing for pve is fail is because the game offers you so many unique levelling up experiences.

The claim is that re-rolling is where the amazing new re-roll experience is to be had. Bored at 50? Re roll for new fun!

That new characters offered new excitement. But it just doesn't.

I see mirror image CLASS QUESTS all the time. For example on Alderaan I have to destroy the generator to drop the shield etc etc. I have seen the same class quest formats + quests done on every single character I level up.

All they do is slap a slightly different circumstance / story onto it.

But it is all the same even across factions and it is very disappointing it is all the same over various class quests.

My point is that is extremely disappointing to not be having new experiences throughout my class quests. I can understand the inability to make it unique every time you go onto a new map. But I had of at least expected class quests to be some what unique. I can predict what I will have to do for class quests before I even get them just based on what I had to do on other completely different classes ><

At first when you roll a new class, quests are new and unique but as you progress towards 50, even the class quests start to mirror each other.

EDIT: Due to some people still missing the point of what I am saying, I am referring to class quests not being sufficiently unique. Which has surprised me as it is the one area I expected a completely new "ride" in this theme park game.
uhh yeah its an mmo all quests templates will always be the same. It's the story that changes it.

Why you think COD is a world best selling game? Its not the gameplay cause if it was they would of just stayed with wodern warfare 1 since its the same exact game as the rest. Same with God of War or Gears of War. All the games play the same.

Even Uncharted is the same game with a continued storyline. In this game you have an mmo with all different class STORY quest but the template will in fact stay as an mmo. I haven't played an mmo where it wasn't kill/fetch/talk yet. Its the genre you're burned with.

For me the class quests where a good thing for me to experiance. i got the view of the cold war in different perceptive.

I think things would be shifted up a lot more if the planet progression was different, and more quests aside from the class quests, differed between classes.

I want BH style side quests for my BH that I don't do as a IA or SW. And not class-centric quests, just side stuff.

Maybe that's the kind of stuff that can get added down the line? 1 or 2 years out?

What? The "best" part of this game isn't that good? But that's what they spent all of their time and money on!

OP has been proven to be full of **** just put him on ignore and move on. You know you are a pathetic troll when Second grade math can destroy your post.

Also anyone who uses the term "Biodrone" should be put on ignore as well. They typically have the maturity level of a 12 year old prepubescent girl.

I realize there are problems with the game but I also realize that the game is pretty new and the team has fixed numerous issues in this short time.

Until some developer gets the gonads to develop a real sandbox MMO that has real consequences for all actions, all we will see is the same static MMO's, like SWTOR and WoW, where the only thing that ever changes is the level of your toon.

Really all these games are ....an elaborate chat room where you get to level your chat toon and brag about the stuff you find....

Cipher Agent El'ember Level 42 Operative

Down to the basic concept of each quest its still the same, kill, collect, escort etc.
Its how you present it thats making a difference, some companies put in a little more effortt hen others. But I dont see the core concept of the quest ( Kill, Collect, escort etc) ever really changing.

And how would that work then? The first player changes something in the world and all other players after him have to abide by his choice? Say its a quest and not an instanced one, would you really want whoever comes first to do it and whatever the consequence no one else can ever do the quest again? Really? Thats what you want?

Gonna be a damn short MMO then for everyone that comes second or 100th.

A more appropriate answer is that you don't do this, though I want to know why they went to lengths to homogenize the class quests for the reason you stated, but then they segregated the flashpoints from content, which is completely the opposite philosophy behind homogenizing the class quests.

I think the real loss in replay value comes in the lack of challenge, thanks in part due to companions. The issue is large enough that choosing not to play with my own companion out won't fix it, because the game will still provide the same challenge-less experience for anyone who plays with their companion out.

Slightly off-topic, but they really dropped the ball on companion usage. They're poorly integrated into the crafting system, and their use in combat or for crafting is mutually exclusive, which seems extremely counterproductive at promoting the companion system. Further, they totally missed the opportunity to use them well in PvE; I came across one quest which had me choose various missions for three of my companions to run; an incorrect choice resulted in me having to perform that mission myself; that was one way they could have more frequently used companions but failed to.

I'm not convinced you actually read the quest text for the quests you are doing.
