So here is another one I came up with this evening. It focuses on melee with Surging Charge, yet swaps out reliance on Voltaic Slash for Thrash to gain survivability, spikes, and lightning. One thing I'm not sure about is Force consumption, but the theory is that Deceptive Power and Blood of Sith will take care of that.

One question I have is how much more damage does VS do than Thrash? Torhead is clearly wrong, but Darth Hater only shows it to be around 100 points. If that's accurate, the 75% increase in Force Lightning damage plus healing ticks should more than make up for it.

^That is like my build exept I use Dark Charge!

Here is one I plan trying. 27/14/0
Darkness up to Harnessed Darkness with Deception

It is about spamming Maul with large force regeneration while also being able to use Force Lightning and having good defense from Darkness.

Induction working with Dark Charge is great. I hope they wont nerf it.

I'm trying a hybrid build with some modifications, suggested by one guy here on the forum (cannot remember the name)

Works pretty well, is basically a death field/trash/shock-shock spamming with the occasional crushing darkness proc

Has anyone tried something like this (0-23-18) for DPS in PvP or PvE?

Would be lacking all the crazy Shock burst, but would have the 50% extra Thrash crits, death field, and instant+free crushing darkness on top of Surging Charge with static charges....

EDIT: whoops, of course that's basically the spec the OP posted. I do think it'd be silly to take Death Field without the 50% reduced cost though...

I have been tanking with this spec.

Now, before people get on my case, let me explain. My friend is also playing an Assassin tank. He has a 31/0/10 spec. We decided that there was no need for 2 Withers.

So, whenever there is an AoE group or boss on which AoE is important, he tanks that. On single targets, I tank them since I end up with better mitigation (due to much faster Harnessed Darkness procs) and higher single target threat due to faster Shocks.

Personally I wouldn't do a build with Death Field w/o taking the talents that reduce its cost. I'd move the pts put in buffing Whirlwind into reducing Death Field cost, you do not want Death Field wiping out half your Force pool.
