Just because some like to hit one button to activate a bunch of commands, doesn't make it the standard.

On a side note, "this might be one of the craziest statements I have ever read". :P
I don't care about macros, but for a budget record setting MMORPG, I do expect for there to be atleast a combat log. I'm not just talking about macros here I'm talking about many essential standards that yes any MMORPG worth its title has and has had for years.

While I can't comment on technical issues with the game (I've yet to have a single framerate, action delay, graphical glitch, or any other issues with the game after almost a week of total gameplay), I can certainly agree with a lot that the OP said. I love immersing myself in a story in a game, and not seeing the actions I take actually have any "real" consequences in-world is a real immersion-breaker for me.

That said, both my fiancee and I are having a ton of fun so far, and we are both level 40s. Even though many of the mission objectives are samey, a lot of the more boring stuff comes in the form of "bonus" quests. You don't have to do these. I feel like the main quest objectives aren't any better or worse than many other major MMOs, but I do agree that they could do with more "mixing it up" than they currently have. For instance, in one flashpoint, every hopped on turrets to defeat incoming Colicoid swarms. It was a welcomed change to the usual lather/rinse/repeat combat, and I'm looking forward to more things like that.

As for the space missions, I've come to really enjoy these, especially as new bonus missions, harder difficulties, and new upgrades actually change the way you approach each mission when you repeat it. Sure, they definitely need more missions, but the ones that are there are generally fun in the same way Star Fox and Rogue Squadron were fun. Some people hate repeating missions, but I really enjoy finding different ways to approach them and complete them as I progress. No single space mission has been exactly the same, even after repeating it ten or more times.

One other point I would like to make, is that so far, there has been absolutely no need to repeat ground missions in order to level up. I really appreciate this, as I'm not a gan of "grinding" in games. Certainly, one could argue that many missions have a grinding feel to them, but being able to level up without worrying about daily missions is pretty cool.

Taking everything I said into account, I still do agree in most respects that SWTOR failed to deliver a revolutionary experience in many respects, but I'm still having a lot of fun despite that fact, and I'm not even a massive Star Wars fan. I did really enjoy KOTOR, and I love the Mass Effect series. SWTOR feels like the fusing of both games, and I enjoy it.

A car without a radio is not the same as a game without built in macros. Try again.

Afterwards I'd be the good guy again and pretend to help a doctor to get a cure for something but in reality would seek it for credits from a Hutt.

No Swtor isn't that. Swtor was dull for me. I didn't like Swtor, I did not find an LFG system, all I saw was a chat where ppl would spam need this and that. The group quests didnt need a group most of the time or could be done alone. It was worth no1's time to group up for these group quests. Having influence on the world is bullcrap. I made no influence in the world with my light or darkside decisions.

I had 26 days to play this game the last time I logged in. I didnt play a single day of it. I might check it out in summer again but probably a short visit.

Hoping for KOTOR 3.... STILL!
What i dont understand is they could have easily done this, you see they started too with earlier quests, but then EA rolled up and made the dev's their *****es and said LOOKS GOOD LETS MILK IT. DO AN OPEN BETA JUST LONG ENOUGH FOR PEOPLE TO ONLY SEE THE POLISHED CONTENT. LAWLS.

Honestly this is basically a lot of games what u said about leveling.... in SWG it was simply u did legacy which dragged out FOREVER for no reason but to get u to like level 30something
Then u just did pointless quests that meant nothing like "Get a med pack for -Insert Name-" and you did it because u wanted to level.
One thing I have to say though is once u do all that boring stuff. In SWG there was a reason for this, because there was fun stuff at the end.
Once u finish leveling in SWTOR thats about it. There are only Flashpoints and junky PvP where its so boring cuz all I ever do is huttball on my extremly laggy computer
You do have some good points but I am still gonna take my time with this game and play
We are not running away... just making a tactical advance in the other direction
Diddett - 55 PT Didet - 55 Sorc Lizu - 55 Op Didumz - 55 Sniper Raalwa - 55 Sage Patient'bear - 55 Marauder Talcano - 55 Assassin

this an Open Beta? If you bought the game at launch then you're paying for it now, Why would you pay for something you do not like. That is just stupid.

Me, and most of the playerbase are playing and enjoying the game.

Haters gonna hate.

Talking about the stress test 'hype' weekends. Not sure how you got that.

But no, most of the playerbase is not enjoying the game. Most of the playerbase is tolerating the game in hopes that patches will roll out fast. Its just hope. That describes my guild and the other guilds on Deaths Wind Corridor.

And your reasoning that "every other MMO has it, so this one should to" is just not valid. Just because other Developers chose to do it does not mean BioWare had to do it.

Why are you so against getting a third party device to do something which you want to do? I didn;t want to buy a new graphics card to have improved graphics, but I wanted to have good graphics in games. I didnt want to buy new speakers to I could hear sounds better, but I did because I wanted better sound quality. I didnt want to buy a camera so I could talk on Skype, but I did because I wanted to talk on skype.

If you want to use macros, you should a a device which allows you to use macros.
No you are right its not valid that I say a MMO has this so that TOR should atleast have that too, but I think we are witnessing what happens when one sticks to that pratice with TOR hence what the OP is talking about.
