Its funny when people make comments like this, so i have been playing since early access and have had entertainment most nights since then, yes it has some bugs and yes the ui needs work.... GUESS WHAT they are fixing those problems .

But in essense many people are playing this game daily and that in itself is proof IT DOES WORK!

I get horrible FPS with a 2600k, 8gb ram, SSD and a GTX 580

Ilum is completely broken, laggy and boring

There are still a plethora of bugs and exploits including republic being able to jump out of the starting area on void star.

PvE instances still have a ton of issues and bugs, including in Boarding Part if you kill Jorland while leaving one of the two other mobs up and you wipe it counts the instance as done and you cannot re-enter or loot. I also remember the 3 droid mini boss in Direct 7 if you kill the middle one too fast through it's shield the other two never drop theirs. If you do anything out of order in this game it spazes out.

Camera movement is sluggish and has mouse acceleration.

You can't tell when cooldowns are back up because it doesn't grey out the button.

Ability delay still isn't completely fixed

The only worthwhile part of this game is the levelling which is awesome but that isn't the most important part of an MMO...the end game is and Bioware didn't seem to acknowledge that and now they are paying the price. It's mind boggling how a company that spent 200 million on a game didn't realize the importance of the end game..

If you are levelling and having a blast or even a early 50, I don't blame you, I was having a blast as well but soon enough these glaring issues will come to the forefront and you won't be having so much fun anymore.

Personally, I'd like to see a game with Age of Conan's graphics, combo & fatality system, mixed with Dark Age of Camelot's RvR system (release to SI version before Mythic f*d everything up), and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes' crafting and PvE.

But, I realize, that's just my ideal MMO, and that it'll never be. The cold hard truth is that, like anything else that starts out great, corporations see a chance to make money, so they crunch the numbers to target the masses. And the masses these days are spoiled brats and immature adults who want easy mode in all things, neither liking nor wanting a challenge. The masses are made up of the types that will use cheats and exploits, as well as any addons or bots that will play the game for them or, at the least, tell them how to play the game.

Hell, the trend for games now-a-days seems to be following Hollywood's example. Spend a lot of money on advertising, suckering people in for one big cash grab. Then, far as games go, they reduce staff, pulling them for the next big cash grab, and profiting off the residual income til that falls far enough to go F2P (free to play) or, as I like to call it F2P2W (free to pay to win).

I'm not even sure why I renewed my subscription, as I haven't logged in for some time due to playing Battlefield 3. This game has pi$$ poor, WoW level graphics (well, tbh it's better than WoW's graphics which isn't hard to beat, but not much better). I spent way too much money building a system to be limited by other player's systems and not to at least have been given options to run it at a higher level of quality based on MY system instead of the systems of others. They chose a piece of $hit graphic engine, choosing to spend the biggest part of their budget by far on voice acting that gets spacebarred after players have heard it a couple of times. And probably worst, the ability delay which is unforgiving and, therefore, unforgivable in PvP.

I thought this game might tide me over and keep my attention til Guild Wars 2 (my latest hope for the MMO genre) released. But it seems between Skyrim, Deus Ex 3, and Battlefield 3, I don't even log onto ToR that much any more.

You're close.

It has to use the unreal engine and be filled with shiny armor, beef cakes, capture the flag, and pop in textures.

It has sandbox features exactly like SWG but you can totally ignore them and go straight to end game. Oh, and end game is 100+ dungeons of monsters so hard you will feel like you're playing a final fantasy dungeon grind for the ultimate weapon.

Well all i can say is there is something seriously wrong with your pc setup then as i have a i3 2120, 8gb ram, GTX460 and SSD and i can honestly say 99% of the time i have no FPS problems or lag.

And yes yes well done you have mentioned the bugs we are already well aware of which again i will say THEY ARE WORKING ON THEM! get a grip, if your car had a problem you would give the garage the appropriate time to figure out and fix the problem, give bioware the same courtesy.

Incidentally i am level 50 and play regularly with guildies running dailys and hm flashpoints and we will soon be doing operations and i dont care what anyone says this game is still more fun than i have had in any other game in the last few years

There is nothing wrong with my PC, it runs every other game amazingly, there have been several massive threads titled "Horrid FPS" on the customer support forums.

You are living in a fantasy world where you actually expect Bioware to fix all these issues, just like they fixed Ilum, right?

Stephen Reid posted about the FPS issues he said: "It's coming, but don't expect a miracle solution I'm afraid."

That's very reassuring, it's like "We are going to release a patch, but don't expect it to fix the problem"

You are living in a fantasy world where game developers just hang up their games to rot after release, it doesnt work that way, MMOs profitability are based on repeat subscriptions so why on earth would they not fix the problems?

This is the problem with these forums they are full of people who just want to make out they know everything about what boiware is doing behind the scenes and that they have no intention of fixing problems with the game.

The simple fact is this, they will fix the problems, they will continue to release content which will see this game around for years to come.

If you dissagree with that then why are you still here? go play something else and stop your insessant ************ and moaning.

This is a game, people play it to enjoy themselves, if you arent, then simply dont play and let those who do enjoy it continue to do so but in a less frustrating environment, ie one not cluttered with doomsayers who are unwilling to let bioware do their job.

For pity sake its a 1 and a bit month old game, either let it breath or walk away, simple

The thing is, I don't trust Bioware to fix this game.

Especially after how they handled the Ilum situation.

The MMO I want is PSO2. But sadly, I don't speak Japanese or live in Japan. So this fills in nice enough - it's sci-fi & fantasy thrown together.
The average person thinks he isn't.
