Actually I think your assessment is quite wrong. I am exactly in that target group you described (full-time job, kids, etc), have never even tried WoW until a couple weeks ago (AFTER playing SWTOR for the first time in December) and I agree with the OP on all points.

It has nothing to do with being social or not, game is just not that good.

There are just too many unfinished things. Almost EVERYTHING is missing that layer of polish and standard quality of life features of the last 5 years of MMO development. You may as well put 'coming soon' on just about everything. There is no choice with your starship for instance, just mandatory upgrades in order to complete the 'hard modes' of the same missions you did 20 levels ago. You have ZERO choice with ship customization. Unfinished. You can go on and on.

You can call it my opinion i guess, but you are just wrong.

If Battlefield 3 was released and it didn't have mouse support people would rightfully flip a lid and call it an unfinished, bad game. Then the fanboi's would come in and say "Well DOOM didnt have mouse support?!?!? DOOM was like the best game of all time!". That's you guys.

Am I supposed to feel bad that I love pepsi, but I live in Georgia (ENTIRELY COKE OMG KILL ME) ? Or that I live in Georgia and I hate country music? No, it's your opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

TOR is quite piece of garbage in golden box. Every other MMOs is eventualy finished at launch but this game need complete redevelop and another 1-2y of work.

They count you will don't notice that game is broken and you will pay when game will be in this procces but don't be fool. Every other game is finished and still have problems, TOR is simple unplayable and complete broken. End of story.

Empty servers, mass pop drop, thousands of complains, removing cancel button, no support and no response .. only lies and even one problem wasn't solved where all are gamebreakers.. I dont need more to prove this game is failure.

We regard ur marketing Bioware that can sell every piece of crap to blinded fanboys.
. OPOD FTW!

And before anyone asks why I'm still here, it's because I was forced to buy a gamecard to play the free month since I don't use credit cards.

As for the people whining about your final recommendation to not buy this game, it's a repost of an Amazon review fs, the recommendation to buy the game or not is the whole point of writing it. And for what it's worth it's a good recommendation. I thoroughly regret buying it myself too.
Someone TL;DR'd... He mentioned the end game, as some who actually did read his entire post I'm more than glad to give you a quote if you want it. Also "literally nothing to do at end game" is LITERALLY (in the true use of the word) wrong, there is plenty to do and I am STILL doing endgame (datacrons, maxing PvP level, maxing Legacy level, nightmare OPS 5/5, Codex entries, gear maxing, Heroic World Boss killing etc, dailies etc.). Most of my friends still play the game.

Shows that we did not experience a mass exodus at the end of the free month.

Also no. The whole point of any review is to accurately sum up a game so the reader HIMSELF can decide whether or not he wants to purchase it. He does not need to be told whether he wants to or not, that is not the reviewers place. Additionally, I pointed out many inaccuracies in the OP's post (yes, MANY, bottom of 4th page if you want to see, look for the yellow word "inaccurate" above each quote and you'll find inaccurate information in it), so you agreeing with him 100% is kind of messed up to be honest.

I love this game. But I find myself agreeing with the OP's opinions for the most part. I'm willing to pay monthly for this for a while, in the hopes that I'll be rewarded in the end.

I realize the game is newly released and thus it's going to have issues. But right now some of those issues are glaringly hard to overlook, such as the unresponsive skills. Sure, they fixed the lag in warzones. Great! I think that's a good start. But I still find my skills to be unresponsive at times. They gray out (even full bars at times) even though they're not on CD or when they're used it's like the game doesn't even recognize it (such as force choke. I choke someone, I can see it ticking and see it still channeling but my enemy is still moving around bashing my face in).

And the UI is annoying to say the very least. I don't enjoy having to continuously switch back and forth from staring at what's in front of my character to the bottom of my screen to see if a skill went off or not due aforementioned skill issues. It's distracting. Not only that, the UI is bulky and takes up unnecessary space.

As for the questing... I realize it's nothing revolutionary but I've come to accept that as part of the generic MMO model and have come to live with it. Coming from Aion, where it was repeat after repeat and before repeats were implemented it was mostly grind, the amount of quests available at launch amazes me and is a welcome change, even if it's still the usual hack-and-slash and collect/destroy item quests. When I play a MMO I don't expect the world to change because I finished some quests. I expect that from a console RPG. Should I expect the world to change? Probably. But as of right now I don't.

I know BW has a lot on their plate right now so I'm willing to give them a chance. Aside from the things mentioned above I'm also hoping they get around to making some decent armor designs for end-game armor. More specifically, for marauders because right now the available medium armor is puke-worthy at best.

That's my two cents.

What a surprise. Another review filled with bogus information. When do we start banning people for outright lying on the forums.

"literally nothing to do at end game"

Straight up lie. This should be locked and deleted. Negative criticism is fine but lying to make a point should be against TOS.

I think it would be nice to be able to run flashpoints in TOR, would be awesome in fact if i didnt have to wait 3 hours spamming general or the custom LFG channels just to find a group... i guess thats hardcore? If so... then im hardcore for sure!

Want him to rephrase "Nothing new at end game"? Because it's reminding me a lot of running around in Ironforge LFG or waiting for my queue to pop. (Oh, no i'm a WoW fanboy cause this game reminds me of WoW, BURN ME! Actually I quit playing 2 years ago. Whoops)
