I'm with you here... Blizzard started the hand-holding, spoon-feeding culture, Trion took it to previously unimaginable depths. The hope for GW2 is they'll do it their way and will not be swayed or bullied by the *pls make it just like wow or it'll die* groupies. The FTP model gives them a superior level of control.

I'm hoping BW hold their nerve and keep with their game concept, and leave some level of difficulty or skill required elements in the game, but it's looking increasingly unlikely.

These post that include *EVERYONE* make me laugh they generally are the most minority opinion posts of all

ah well
I do. Or not really crysis there are many amazing games like Just Cause 2 etc. I think the closest so far was Rift. But dont get me wrong, I like how swtor looks but yea game graphics is one of the main factor for me.
The crazy is strong with this one.

Critic judges game

Fanboy judges critic....

Im laughing at the amount of people who think they know what others should be thinking or the mental state of another person. If I was to tell you I thought creative soundcards where rubbish vs asus xonar and listed a bunch of reasons why. I would expect people to take my view for what it is, my own.

But here people get judged for there views because others disagree. Only reason someone would do that is being a fanboy.

What makes it even funnier are the fanboys who tried to hide the fact they are.
Best swtor picture EVER!!!

So you are laughing at others making judgements and then pass your own...so you arelaughing at yourself then, I take it?

That's the conclusion I have...sort of made...
I do believe you just summarised Guild Wars 2. Plus other things that none of those games could even dream of doing.

Let skill finally be a factor of mmos rather then just spamming buttons . Or the person with better gear wins the day. Stuff that. Bring on the first person where u can run , hide, roll w/e. Then we shall see who the real gamers are...
DDO is very close to that fps action, where twitch skill makes a real difference, however Turbine have never concentrated on any serious PvP content, which many would find a big negative.

I just want some sort of linear advancement (think AA system from EQ1) and a crafting system where everyone can craft, but only those who really care about it will do it (again, EQ1).

This is going off of EQ1 experience ending in 2001.

Actually Blizzard tryed that in WOW.
They stole just about every game mechanic that worked from every other game out there.
Blizzard rarely had an original idea.

Problem is they didn't realize you can actually go too far.

I think the massive overhead and time it takes construct an MMO has left the field really stagnant and lacking. Considering the potential profits, I am surprised more haven't been tried. But the field remains thin, and at least to me, pretty uninspiring sadly.
Ho! Ha ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!
