I'm beside myself here.. I have maybe 1 million credits from selling my crafted items on the AH.. A guildmate who has been camping a security chest has about 8 million..and that's all he does... And hes not the only one.

Do we really need these security chests spawning every 7-10 minutes and giving 3-4k+ per spawn?

Suggestion: Make them spawn once every 1 hour or 2.....

You can probably make more money with your crew skills. Make stims, adrenals and medkits with biochem (you cant get better anywhere else). Im pretty sure the blue ones can be used by anyone (i think the reusable purple ones require biochem though).

You could also make ship parts with cybertech. I see these things selling for 10k+ a piece on my server (sith meditation sphere). You could also go slicing and farm boxes around the place, they give you over 1k a piece in the higher level areas and are all over the freaking place.

The only things I craft are ship items to make my space mission dailies easier. It also seems to be pretty hot on the gtn as they aren't phased out by better ship items (barely any better obtainable ones from the vendor). After selling what I need to sell and my dailies i can make a mill in 3 days, sometimes 2. Tbh if your trying to make money crafting gear than your doing it wrong.

Also, do you really care about the economy of a game that has absolutely no reason for you to even think about creds within a week after you hit 50? I mean, besides repair bills there is nothing you can spend credits on unless your feeding an alt.

If they are obviously farming them then report the player. Hell Ive reported around 7 of em on Illum in the past week all lvl 12-24 and doing it. See the same people time after time doing it so I report them. They have not been on Illum for the past three days now, and last time I looked all were lvl 50 there. heck I had a GM answer my ticket and wanted to talk to me about it but I was in PVP at the time so couldnt really. They are acting on these Gold Farmers but unless you report them they cant do anything.
I did suggest that they level cap the planets to what they say they are on the Stellar Map as well, due to the fact that one of the lvl 12 I saw on Illum and killed 5 times for being flagged, I later saw on Corellia doing the same thing, farming chests. Idiot was flagged again so he didnt last too long when I saw him. Then I reported him again.

You reported a level 12 player for being on illum? Why? There's nothing there to farm anymore, BioWare took everything off Illum 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, contrary to what namoni thinks is acceptable to just make up on the forums, BioWare isn't going to ban people for camping spawns. If someone is playing the game, does things on that character or a different character on a regular basis, they're not going to ban them. BioWare is going to ban the people with no characters above 15 who do nothing but farm credits all day and then transfer it to another account.. these people are obviously there to sell the it.

They're still there. Both the nodes and the bots. I still see 3-5 level 11-15 players there every day. And, while I'm not assuming everyone there is a bot, if you're looting the chest before it even finishes the spawn-in animation and not responding to say/whisper, I'm probably going to report you as a potential one.

Like Locuss on Daragon Trail who is level 13 been chilling in Ilum for 3 weeks and still just kicking there.

Good job for 'protecting' the economy right?
BW has made it very clear that they will not ban or try to fix the problem with bots farming chest.

this is what you get after reporting the same bot for weeks...

"I have received your transmission regarding your issue about a level 11 camping a chest on llum. Thank you for sending us a report regarding this issue. However, we are not able to interfere with intended in-game mechanics"

Level requirements for planets will only delay the issue - the "farmers" will level up their character [probably using exploits] and then just go back to camping the chests.

Mine come back as:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding possible botting player on Ilum. Your report has been forwarded to the relevant department who will investigate further."

I'd also like to point out that the particular character that one referred to vanished from Ilum within 24 hours, and hasn't been seen since. So either they are doing something about it, or that particular character just happened to vanish at the same time.

You know this sounds familiar. There was someone claim they could make 1 million on chest in two hours. Also someone tried to claim he made 3 50s and the game had not been active for 24 hrs.People were giving that person hell.

My dream is that all blue and above stuff is only made by player characters and not found by missions or world drops.

I am sure he does more than camp boxes.?.?.?
so 233 hours its 29 days? hmm intersting so your days have less than 10 hours? you should live very close to sun i guess.

anyhow, they are booting that, so have 8 milions on your back pack to do NOTHING (while you are at work, holydays or sleeping) i seem worth it.
