Your assumption is correct. Every mmo that launches has a group who is aware of xp exploits and ways to circumvent the system as intended. This information is gained through beta - testing. SWTOR is no different in that regard as clearly beta testers knew of xp and faction gain exploits in pvp and never reported them so they could circumvent the system,...for their own personal reasons and/or financial reasons (credit selling)

Cheating in mmo's is an old story and is very common. These people run the risk of punishment but it never stops them. Hacking,...anything on the Internet is hackable and mmo games are not immune to this practice either for business, pleasure or simply for the lol'z

Keep in mind the journey is what counts in an mmo...because at lvl cap there simply is nothing there but a ghost. Having is not same as wanting or working for something....once you attain something there is a let down and you become bored hence why you see so many "i'm lvl 50 and bored" threads.

Many veteran mmo gamers like myself realize the best times of any mmo ever made was during the journey to lvl cap. Once at lvl cap,..thus begins the cutthroat world of gear hounds doing anything to get phat lewt only to be obsolete when next expansion comes out,..rofl

Don't be in any hurry to lvl up...enjoy the ride there because once you at lvl cap......the game becomes very shallow and ugly infested by scammers and cheats and people who need on everything

Best time to start playing an mmo is years after it launches,...you avoid all the bugs and nerfs. Not many people can hold off that long though. I did with Wow and it was very enjoyable for me. This game is different though,...I wanted to be at the start,...however I am taking my time as I have 16 alts and highest lvl is only 32. I would have been at lvl 50 long ago if I spent all my time on one character but that's not how I roll

That's my thought as well.

They promoted the heck out of story, not too mention, TOR is the ONLY MMO with a cutscene/story-driven (in this capacity) so really? Why would most people skip the story?

I understand the world quests, the ones you get for every character but at least watch your personal story cutscenes.
Don't let the past define you

I'm more of a Star Trek fan but I don't play Star Trek Online because the game is a joke.... Unless it's my computer, the game is way outdated and just designed badly. Also, it's very uninteresting to play whereas TOR, I find myself playing for hours on end and losing sleep in the process .

LOL, you just have to play more. I've been playing for three weeks? I think. And I'm at level 40, and I'd consider myself a casual player. XD

Either you're a role playing virgin, or you're just bad. No one is cheating. 1-50 takes no time at all.

it's sad but allot of people always find a away to cheat, nothing new, but when it comes down to it the only thing they are cheating is themselves..
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering
