Also while we're on the subject of budgets... Allods didnt have that much voice acting in it, which equal quite a bit of less investment since you dont need to hire actors.
And it really does help for immersion, but this is IMHO, I would of been great with just our class quests VA

Why are we still discussing this?

We already know that high res textures on armor is coming and that seems to be the primairy concern.

And that is fine if thats your personal preference. BW just wanted to offer something more than that.

The whole reason of all this whining is that high quality textures DO exist... you see them all the time in cutscenes.

Just why the heck is everyone forced to use low quality trash textures because Bioware isn't able to just have more graphic customization settings.

If i have a powerful PC i want to make use of it. If you don't have one, then lower the settings until you get acceptable FPS. I'd like to decide myself if my game runs at 1 FPS or 60... no need for Bioware to force their "optimized" graphics on everyone.

They said no such thing. What they did say was that they were going to implement some changes/fixes which would help to increase graphical fidelity in the game. Which, for BioWare, could mean anything.

Unless you have a quote I missed?

That is what I am looking for, I am on google and find no mention, other than above stated.

Even on absolute max with AA and all settings on high this game looks worse than GW1 and that came out....how many years ago?

Is there any way to make this game visually appealing? Tweaks, workarounds, secret amazing settings or something?

EDIT/UPDATE:

Through this thread I found one cool tweak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7RqU_Isw28 This shows that with ATI / NVIDIA (inspector.exe) you can download software to change your LOD to -2.5 that will greatly increase the look for outside terrain and so on. You can also force higher settings to override the mediocre ones in-game. It really does piss me off that I have to go to extremes just to change settings that should be IN THE GAME already...
I would suggest a better video card. The game looks amazing on my computer.

What is your card? I am running a GTX560ti 448 core on intel i5 2500k stock, no OC.
