Any way to make SWToR look like a 2012 game?

The notion from people that they intentionally put these sub par graphics in so that it would run on all systems is insulting. A simple fix is to have more than 2 graphics setting. You know, like almost every other game out there.

For those who do not understand this I will put it into caveman talk for you.

Star Wars:
Low
High

Every Other Game (in the range of)
Low
Medium
High
Very High
Ultra

For people to use the excuse "they did it to run on every system" is completely moronic. It makes absolutely no sense as to why people with low end systems can not pick low, and people with high can not pick very high/Ultra....

Actually Allods had around $12 million development budget which is one of the biggest in the genre... (f2p that is)

Patch 1.2

They'll have some fixes to allow for High res textures to be used for normal gameplay graphics (and not just Cutscenes, like it is now).

Ummm... you should be informed that $500 million was a guessitmate figure from a no-name "analyst" who was also including a pro-rated cost of acquiring Bioware.

The development costs of TOR were about $150 million.

I do absolutely have a blast with SWTOR, but why can I not enjoy my game and have great visuals at the same time? This is everyones rant on this thread in a nutshell,.

So we still have a budget nearly 10x that with your figure.

And that is why they are able to to take everything out of it. The engine was tailored for Allods in mind. Hero engine was not built exclusively for SWTOR and BW developpers did not have extensive prior experience about using it for such environment.

Also while we're on the subject of budgets... Allods didnt have that much voice acting in it, which equal quite a bit of less investment since you dont need to hire actors.

Allods doesn't have to pay Lucasfilm for rights, and doesn't have nearly the amount of voice acting.
