Any way to make SWToR look like a 2012 game?

Graphics look good, 1.1 made a big difference with AA turned on.

I do however agree with armor textures, but that's going to be solved anyway.

People really blow things up on the forums, they say the GAME looks horrible, but they often only mean the armor textures.
Enviroments look fine, armor does not.

Everything on max settings, both in-game, nVidia drivers and using other tweaks to "help" with graphic quality... and it still looks like that.
Your SS shows exactly what I was talking about with how terrible shadows are. Those aren't soft shadows at all. They are just abhorrent to look at! =\

It isn;t even the shadows, my post on page 10 also shows, our gear looks like Nintendo 64, why? Look at my allods SS, how is that better than this? Free to play, doesnt have millions to just throw at the game.

That's the biggest cop out explanation given by anyone or Bioware.

Everyone knows it.

I can't run Battlefield 3 on ultra with my $120 USD AMD 5770 card, does that mean I can't play it?

NO... I just run it on Medium/High mix.

WHY CANT THEY JUST DO IT/SCALE GRAPHICS FOR SWTOR?

MMO never gonna rival an game box fps shooter. And it does not need to.
You can still make an MMO with armor textures that don't look like washed off watercolors even on the highest possible quality settings and have it run on PCs that are a couple of years old.

There is lots of room between state of the art ultra-max-mega-i-eat-your-graphics-card-for-breakfast quality and the mess we have to deal with at the moment.

Go into pretty much any mmo, you will see tons of customization , AA, draw distance, sharpness, etc. with 1-10 sliders in most cases, we have L-M-H and 2 choices for AA

Why do people compare an MMO graphics to a non-MMO game?

Ridiculous to compare them. Compare them to a MMO that is NOT heavily instanced. btw AoC is very heavily instance and GW1 is not an MMO, it's a Co-Op RPG.

I'm not even talking about the whole texture issue thing. I'm talking about problems that go way beyond that. I don't see any complex/soft shadows (they literally look like legos thrown together in some places), I don't notice any specular/dynamic lighting indoors, the game has no HDR (using bloom which is older than god). The other issue is terrain grass is rendered absolutely terrible to the point I have it disabled. I just can't see how they can have the max setting not also include some setting for particle draw distance? If I have grass on it draws like 20 ft in front of my char as I run. It looks SO FAKE and cheezy.

I'm more concered about the way the character looks than the shadow quality.
Which doesn't mean i don't agree with you there... i just find the textures even worse.

I think you all are off your rockers.. The graphics in this game are excellent and I'm not being a troll about it. if you took the time to look around your enviroment.. and I mean really look around.. view the stars, rivers and streams.. Alderaan is absolutely great, Balmorra is another, The city life of Narshadarr.. come on.. activity all around and.. There is a huge amount of eye candy everywhere.. I developed a friggen eye migraine from looking and taking everything in.
